Jon Gosselin Has Been Accused Of Physically Abusing His Son Collin, And Now There’s An Investigation

Some things never change like Justin Bieber’s chonies, Kanye West’s level of delusion, and Jon and Kate Gosselin’s shitty relationship and parental skills. The year is 2020 and the Gosselins are still in the “news,” and you’d think that because Kate Gosselin is the Karen prototype, she’d be in the news for gnawing off a manager’s jaw at Wegmans after she got shit for not wearing a mask. But they’re back in the news because Jon has been accused of getting violent with their 16-year-old son Collin, and Kate wants Jon to suffer a bigger punishment than, well, than being Jon Gosselin.

Up until recently, things between Jon and Collin seemed good. Jon filed for custody of Collin and accused Kate of locking him away in a special needs facility (other than ADHD, Collin hasn’t been diagnosed with any other medical condition, according to Jon). Jon got custody of Collin in 2018 after Kate failed to show up to the hearing. Collin’s sextuplet sister Hannah also lives with Jon while the other four sextuplets, Alexis, Aaden, Joel, and Leah, and 19-year-old twins, Cara and Mady, live with Kate. That brings us to last week.

A source tells People that last week, Collin and Jon got into a huge fight in the car and after pulling into the garage, Collin threw some kind of heavy bottle of liquid at Jon’s car, denting that shit up. Jon responded by beating Collin who called the cops:

“Jon got out of the car enraged, put him in a headlock, punched him square in the nose, and when Collin fell to the ground, then he kicked him in the ribs.”

According to the source, Collin called the police, who responded on the scene.

Collin put up an Instagram post (which was later deleted) and in it, he called Jon a liar and said that his father thought nothing of beating him up. That post reportedly went up on September 3 and InTouch Weekly says that on September 6, Collin posted a picture of himself and said he’s doing “better than ever.”

The County of Berks, Pennsylvania Child & Youth Services confirmed to People that they opened up an investigation, and didn’t name Jon, but said someone is being investigated for “causing bodily injury to a child through recent act/failure to act: hitting/punching.” Berks County District Attorney John Adams says that no charges have been filed for that incident and it doesn’t seem like there will be any charges.

Jon hasn’t said anything about this, but Kate Gosselin has a lot to say. Kate is pissed that Jon will probably not to be charged and says that there’s no reason to kick or punch a child and the court needs to do their job by protecting Collin:

“There is a child abuse law, PA 23, section 8i states that doing any of the following, regardless of whether it causes injury, is child abuse, and first on that list is kicking. Period.

“I do not want this buried, swept under the rug or minimized. As a mother, I am not going to sit quietly and idly by while my child, any of my children, is assaulted by anyone, let alone their own father. I am spotlighting this, and I will keep shouting about it, in the hopes that the authorities and the courts will finally do the right thing. Do not return my child to an abuser’s home. Jon needs to be charged with a crime. If this were your child, would you feel okay with having it swept under the rug?”

Kate went on to tell People that the police told her to not let Collin go back to Jon’s house and as far as she knows, Collin hasn’t. I don’t know where Collin is, but I do know that Kate has more to say. Jon has accused Kate of physically and mentally abusing their kids in the past (which she’s denied), and this time around, she says that she usually stays quiet when Jon drags her (“I don’t think we’ve ever met” said the definition of quiet to Kate), but she’s not anymore.

“I will not stay silent anymore. Say whatever you want about me, and I’ll stay on the high road. But you harm my children, I’m ready to fight back.

I have always parented with my children’s best interests in mind. He parents to make himself look good. It is so sick it makes my blood boil. I am horrified that this man is the father of my children. I don’t want my children to be associated with someone who loses his mind because his car got dented.”

“I have always parented my children’s best interest in mind,” says Miss Hannigan’s idol who denied her thirsty daughter water and then chugged some water right in front of the child.

I’m no family court judge (and families should be thankfuckinful for that) but I think what needs to happen here is that the Gosselins need to gather in a room for a talk. Because as Kate and Jon get distracted by screaming each other’s faces off for the ten millionth time, the kids can sneak out the back and run far, far, far, faaaaaaaar away.
