Johnny Depp Has Asked For A Postponement On His Upcoming Trial Against Amber Heard So He Can Work On “Fantastic Beasts 3”

The mudslinging between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard only recently came to an end with the conclusion of his libel trial against The Sun, yet Johnny and Amber are scheduled to go another round in Virginia for his $50 million defamation lawsuit against her. And by mud I obviously mean human feces, allegedly extruded out of Amber’s very own sphincter. However, according to Deadline, Johnny has requested a postponement of his upcoming stateside trial so he can go to work filming Fantastic Beasts 3, a kids movie written by a woman obsessed with genitalia! You don’t get to call your ex an unfaithful, bed-shitting, gold-digging flappy fish market in open court for free. That shit takes Hollywood money!

Closing arguments were heard about a month ago in Johnny’s very expensive (I’m sure) attempt to make The Sun take it back after referring to him as a “wife-beater” in a 2018 headline. And Johnny’s defamation suit against Amber, calling her claims of domestic abuse “an elaborate hoax to generate positive publicity,” is scheduled to begin in January of 2021. Shooting on FB3 was supposed to have wrapped up by then, but coronavirus tried to do us a solid by pumping the breaks on that mess. But apparently, not only is Johnny still on the call sheet after starring in this summer’s Shit Show Of Shows, and despite Warner Bros.previous concerns, production is moving forward. According to Deadline:

The filming for the David Yates-directed film was put on hold, like many Hollywood shoots and events, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But as conditions in main filming site London have improved, production is set to pick back up again starting in October and possibly ending February, conflicting with the Depp-Heard trial set to run from January 11 to 28 2021.

“When the Court set the current trial date in this case, Mr. Depp understood that Warner Bros. planned to shoot ‘Fantastic Beasts 3’ in London long before January 11, 2021. COVID-19 disrupted the studio’s plans, causing repeated postponements. With conditions in London having improved somewhat, Warner Bros. has now set a shooting schedule that conflicts with the trial date in this case,” the court papers say.

The Fantastic Beasts actor requested on Aug. 21 that the trial be postponed until sometime between March and June 2021

Apparently Amber has also agreed to talk about postponement because flappy fish market’s gotta eat too. And by flappy fish market, I am of course referring to her role as a literal fish wife in Aquaman 2 (also produced by Warner Bros.), which is supposed to start filming “sometime next year.” Her team says that a postponement “would not entail any prejudice to her, much less unfair prejudice.” Just don’t tell that to the nearly 500,000 Depp-stans who signed a Change.org petition calling to have her fired. Maybe a delay is just what is needed for cooler heads to prevail. And by cooler heads I mean Warner Bros. executives promising to give him an unlimited scarf budget while making Amber wear the same jacked-up wig they put her in before, if he promises to drop the suit. That way, everybody wins!
