Bible-thumping asshole spawn Jerry Falwell Jr. and his wife Becki Falwell have built a career off of looking like the picture-perfect traditional conservative family. But it turns out the whole thing was a real-life Righteous Gemstones-like existence, with Jerry Jr. acting a fool on social media, which was followed by an accusation that Becki liked to thump her goodies against a young dude while Jerry watched from the corner. And now yet another man has come forward claiming Becki went after him but this one sounds less like a Christian Mrs. Robinson situation and much, much darker than that.
Jerry and Becki’s American Christian dynasty started crumbling after a picture of Jerry with his pants unzipped made the rounds. That picture caused Jerry to take a leave from his job as president of the private Christian college, Liberty University. Then a former Miami pool boy named Giancarlo Granda came out and claimed that he and Becki had sex while Jerry watched. This all allegedly happened in 2012, when Giancarlo was 20, and Becki was 45. Obviously, Becki has a thing for younger dudes, and a new accusation further confirms that.
A former Liberty University student has recently spoken to Politico about his experience with Becki. This all allegedly happened over the span of a few months in 2008. The former student was in a rock band with the Falwell’s eldest son, Jerry “Trey” Falwell III. He says that they would gather to practice at Trey’s house, because they lived on a huge farm, and there was tons of room for them. He claims that almost immediately after they started practicing at Trey’s, Becki would swing by band practice and get flirty with all the band members (who were all in their early 20s, and students of Liberty University).
The former student had slept over at Trey’s house many times after band practice. One time, he got ready for bed and heard giggling on the floor. He looked down and saw that Becki was laying on the floor, hiding. He got her to leave. The next time he slept over after band practice, he was lying in bed when Becki jumped in with him, pulled down his pants, and performed oral sex on him. The former student says he didn’t want anything else to do with Becki after she allegedly sexually assaulted him. But not Becki, apparently:
The student was 22 at the time of the encounter, near the start of Liberty’s fall semester. He said she initiated the act, and he went along with it. But despite his rejection of further advances, he said, Falwell continued pursuing him, offering him gifts and engaging in banter through Facebook messages.
“She was the aggressor,” he said.
The man gave Politico texts and messages allegedly sent between him and Becki, and they say that they’re definitely not the kind of normal communication that you’d see between a mom and one of her son’s friends. Another former Liberty University student corroborated the post-band practice oral sex moment, saying that the student that it allegedly happened to open up about the experience about a month after it happened. And two former Liberty University employees who spoke to Politico confirmed that band practices did happen at the Falwell farm in 2008, but that they didn’t know anything about Becki’s alleged turn-down service.
But if you ask Becki or Jerry, they’ll tell you that the former student is a bigger liar than Ananias and Sapphira, from Acts 5, verses 1-11!
“It is unfortunate that the coverage of our departure has turned into a frenzy of false and fantastic claims about us. These false and mean spirited lies have hurt us and our family greatly and we will respond fully with the truth at an appropriate time. At this time, however, we think it is best to move on and help the Liberty community focus on its very bright future.”
Hmmm, so this story is allegedly a huge, slanderous, mean-spirited lie, but…not enough to make you want to call your lawyers and sue for defamation. So weird.
Becki’s alleged bedroom creeping and subsequent courting ritual isn’t just hypocritical for her as the Good Christian Wife she’s marketed herself as. It’s also a no-no for Liberty University employees, which Becki was at the time:
At Liberty University, students aren’t allowed to have sex outside of marriage. Those who violate the rule risk punishment, up to and including expulsion, according to The Liberty Way, the school’s honor code for students. The university, like many Christian institutions, regards premarital sex as sinful, a corruption of a Christian’s bodily “temple.”
Liberty University vice president Scott Lamb released a statement confirming that Becki may have broken school rules, but he also pulled a Jerry move by attempting to brush it all off as a possible lie.
“Liberty University has policies against employees having sexual relationships with students, as well as having other inappropriate relationships outside of marriage, whether consensual or not. Becki Falwell was an employee in 2008 and such policies would have fully applied to her as spouse of the then-university Chancellor and President. Liberty University has checked its Human Resources and Title IX records and finds no complaints were ever lodged against Becki Falwell for any inappropriate relationship nor were any investigations of such matters conducted. This is a fresh allegation, as far as we can tell.”
Politico shot back against the accusation that this oral sex story is new. They claim that they were investigating this allegation last year, but that the former student really didn’t feel comfortable coming forward with their story, and didn’t want to hurt the Falwell family. That is until Becki and Jerry’s hypocritical truth was finally exposed, courtesy of her alleged affair with Giancarlo. The former student says he now realizes that Becki had been grooming him.
But twelve years later, and Becki is still allegedly trying to stay in his life. The man told Politico that Becki reached out to him via text (he’s now 34) after the news of Giancarlo went public. Their conversation was allegedly about Jerry Falwell Jr. losing his job and how the allegations are a “nightmare,” and that it keeps “getting worse.” If that isn’t a crisis management text if I ever saw one. And I think we can all agree that that man was far too kind to respond to Becki’s texts. I know it’s not very Christian, but he was well within his rights to reply back, “I think it was Deuteronomy 2, verse 12 that said: Thou shalt lose my damn number, and don’t EVER text me again, Becki.”
