Twitter’s Most Popular Ana de Armas Stan Account Has Gone Missing (UPDATED: It’s Back!)
RIP @ArmasUpdates. One of the only bright spots in this dark-sided timeline has been extinguished. According to Vulture, the Ana de Armas stan account of record has mysteriously been deactivated. Sure there are other Twitter accounts dedicated to updating us on the daily whereabouts of Ana, and by extension Elvis, Salsa, and Ben Affleck, but none offer the same pithy observations and gentle ribbing of Twitter’s preeminent ADA update account. It’s like we already know Ana is “the prettiest girl on earth” @BestOfdeArmas, we have eyes! But is she finally wearing a mask and how long did she and Ben have to wait for their Dunkin order?!?
If you’re like me and the most intrigue you can stomach in #theseuncertaintimes is trying to figure out just how many t-shirts Ben bought when he and Ana were in Cuba and why he didn’t go up a size, then you’ll probably remember that the Twitter stan account @ArmasUpdates was blocked by Ana herself, presumably because she didn’t appreciate the account’s creative asides. So it’s reasonable to speculate that Ana may have had a hand in taking them down entirely. Vulture reports:
The stan account that turned Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck’s dog walks into the most talked-about stroll of the pandemic, @ArmasUpdates, is AWOL. Their Twitter account was suddenly deactivated — tweets are not loading, REPEAT, tweets are not loading — Monday afternoon for unknown reasons. Speculation was immediately abound. Was it Ana de Armas herself? The updates account previously had beef with the official Knives Out Twitter account … [Benoit Blanc voice] so was it them?
It has been suggested that a recent tweet where @ArmasUpdates jokingly reported that Ana and Ben would be starring in the next season of HBO’s Euphoria as “sexy dog walkers,” might have led to the account’s demise.

Also, apparently, Ana has legions of devoted fans who are celebrating (!?!?!) this development instead of lamenting the end of a phenomenon the likes of which we will likely never again see in our lifetimes (God willing).

What can I say, it’s a dog walk dog world out there. It’s a real loss because if we can’t make fun of the thirstiest among us, we all risk dehydration. Because I’m sorry to say, the alternative stan accounts are dry as fuck. At any rate, there’s a great opportunity here that’s heretofore gone untapped.
