Harvey Weinstein Is Fighting A Law That Protects Victims Of Child Sex Abuse

Convicted rapist, Harvey Weinstein, is trying to fight a sex crime law in New York. Hmm, I wonder why a convicted rapist would be against a sex crime law? Hmmm….. any ideas? Well, Harvey has once again proven that he’s an evil sack of demon turds by claiming that the Child Victims Act is unconstitutional and one woman’s claims he abused her years ago violated his due process since without the CVA her claims would be time-barred. What a stand-up fellow, trying to further silence victims! Now I see why he’s a feminist hero!

68-year-old Harvey is still facing rape charges in Los Angeles, so even though he was found guilty in New York and sentenced to 23 years in prison, Lady Justice is not cone with him. The New York Post says this current issue stems from accusations from Kaja Sokola, a former model from Poland who accused Harvey of sexually abusing her in his New York apartment twenty years ago when she was 16. She filed a lawsuit against him in December of last year under the CVA. The law, which was passed February 2019, allows victims of child abuse to bring claims regardless of how long ago the abuse occurred. Kaja’s claim is from 2002, so it would have been otherwise excluded without the CVA.

Harvey’s lawyer, Imran Ansari, wrote about how Kaja’s claims shouldn’t be allowed:

“An indisputable timeline of events, corroborated by other evidence, will refute her claims of abuse… The CVA is unconstitutional… Nearly 18 years after the alleged wrongdoing, Weinstein is being asked to defend a case with salacious verbal allegations made by Sokola against him, where there may be diminished evidence available in his defense due to the passage of time, while already suffering from a vilified public image.”

Imran argued that Harvey is being put “in a troubling situation, where his ability to defend against allegations he vehemently denies is hindered due to the passage of time.” Another group suing over the CVA is The Long Island Diocese of Rockville Centre. Yup, the Catholic Church.

Kaja’s lawyer, Kevin Mintzer, responded to Harvey’s filing.

“Mr. Weinstein’s claim that the Child Victims Act is unconstitutional is wrong and has already been rejected in court. His attack on Ms. Sokola is disgusting and has as much credibility as everything else he says: none at all. We look forward to holding him accountable in this case, as well his corporate enablers.”

Harvey is going to die in prison, so I’m not sure why he’s pulling moves like this (SPOILER ALERT: Because he’s made of equal parts delusion and demented). Instead of paying his lawyers to pull shit like this, he should spend his money on more important things like plastic surgery of the dick.
