Taylor Swift Slams Donald Trump For “Dismantling Of USPS”

Ever since that Netflix documentary, “Miss Americana”, where Taylor Swift finally decided to join the rest of the pop music world and voice an opinion about the horrible state of the country ever since Donald Trump took over, she has been dragging his expired foundation-covered ass (which probably isn’t easy when your dad is ~allegedly~ a Trump-supporting Republican). Yesterday, Taylor took another swipe at Trump in a series of tweets calling him out for trying to steal the election and his continued attack on the US Postal Service. Expect Trump to call her a “Tayloser” who is not that hot and a has-been in 3..2…

It’s well known that Trump does not want the general election happening in November, and ever since he floated the suggestion (which, legally, he couldn’t even make stick if he wanted to) that voting be delayed, thus keeping his slimy ass in office, he’s done everything possible to attack alternatives to in-person voting. His most recent brilliant idea has been to defund and discredit the entire postal system, suggesting that mail-in voting would be too complicated for the USPS staff to handle in time (meanwhile, Trump doesn’t understand how to NOT look directly at the sun during an eclipse. “Complicated”? Bitch, please).

According to People, in Taylor’s tweets, she encouraged the people to request their mail-in ballots and vote early.

Even Trump’s postmaster general has made cost-cutting changes to the USPS, leading to concerns over voter suppression. Ya, that’s how fucked up things are. Taylor’s tweets have mostly been gaining a lot of support from her followers. And, of course, there’s been plenty of the usual YeR JusT a GuRRL. ShAddaP n’ siNG.

Speaking of singers, another celebrity-fuck-you-Trump came from Jason Mraz who came out yesterday on his Instagram to endorse the USPS on account that he used to be an employee:

In a former life I worked for the USPS. My dad was also a mail carrier and later, after being chased by too many dogs, transitioned to being a mail handler. We both worked IN the post office – sorting mail. My experience is that the post office does an incredible job handling volume. Especially those colorful bday and holiday envelopes sent by grandmas around the world. Do not think for a minute that this time tested system would fail us during an election. A government by & for the people would make sure the postal service is running at full capacity instead of closing branches and turning off AUTOMATED sorting machines which make sorting faster and easier – but – suspiciously, we have an administration trying to undermine the hardworking service men & women who make the USPS possible. Tampering with elections is illegal. So is mail fraud. You or I would go to prison for it. Let’s make sure the postmaster general and our President are held accountable for their actions, starting with a personnel change in the People’s House. #vote #voteblue #votelouder

Other celebrities also spoke out about Trump fucking with the USPS:

Even Barack Obama weighed in on Trump’s latest buffoonery in an interview with former campaign manager, David Plouffe for his podcast: “Campaign HQ”.

“What we’ve seen in a way that is unique to modern political history is a president who is explicit in trying to discourage people from voting,” Obama said. “What we’ve never seen before is a president say, ‘I’m going to try to actively kneecap the Postal Service to encourage voting and I will be explicit about the reason I’m doing it.'”

Many have suggested that one way to help the USPS is to buy stamps and other merchandise from them. So yeah, we’re living in a time where people will have to buy Taylor Swift x USPS brand cardigans to save the USPS and fight voter suppression.
