Cardi B Scratched Back At Carole Baskin For Criticizing Her Use Of Big Cats In “WAP”
Carole Baskin, the tiger sanctuary owner who became famous for being the target of a hit by fellow big cat enthusiast Joe Exotic, chose to speak out against the video for Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion‘s new wet pussy banger, WAP. The video co-stars leopards and tigers, and Carole called putting big cats in front of a green screen “unnatural” as well as suggesting that Cardi was associating with “big cat pimps.” Well, Carole’s comments didn’t dry up Cardi’s WAP in the least and Cardi has hit back, calling Carole a husband killer.
Carole called out Cardi B and the people behind the WAP video because she believes the cats that were used for the video suffered some kind of abuse.
“You have to pose a wildcat in front of a green screen to get that image, and that doesn’t happen in the wild. It can’t happen in sanctuaries like ours where cats have plenty of room to avoid a green screen (or would shred it if offered access and could die from ingesting it). That tells me they probably dealt with one of the big cat pimps [who make a living from] beating, shocking and starving cats to make them stand on cue in front of a green screen in a studio.”
As anyone who has seen Tiger King on Netflix knows, Joe Exotic and others accused Carole of murdering her second husband Jack “Don” Lewis, whose body has never been found. Some believe Carole killed him, ground up his body in a meat grinder, and then fed him to her tigers. Carole has always denied it. And when i-D Magazine asked Cardi for her thoughts on what Carole had to say, she brought that up:

And what about the other backlash, the claims from Tiger King’s Carole Baskin that the “WAP” video encouraged animal cruelty with its use of big cats? “I’m not gonna engage with Carole Baskin on that,” Cardi says shortly. “Like, that’s just ridiculous you know? Oh, Lord. Like, girl you killed your goddamn husband.”
Cardi B is clearly not afraid of a defamation suit. And we already knew Cardi is Team Tiger King. But Carole should be careful. I know that she’s already survived one hit, but Cardi is known for allegedly ordering hits too. Not only that, but the claws of a tiger have nothing on Cardi’s ass-destroying nails.
