Zoe Kravitz Called Out Hulu For Lack Of Diversity After They Cancelled “High Fidelity”

Fans of Hulu’s High Fidelity were left looking like Zoe Kravitz in that “Imagine” video (confused) when it was canceled after just one season, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get picked up anywhere else. Zoe posted a goodbye note to the show on Instagram but later dragged Hulu for its lack of diversity. Hulu hasn’t responded yet but I’m sure that’s because they’re too busy trying to fix their constant buffering issues. Yeah, right.

According to IndieWire, news of High Fidelity’s cancellation comes a week after the Emmy nominations were announced (and it didn’t get any). The show, about a Brooklyn hipster record store owner with love issues, was based on the book by Nick Hornby and adapted from the 2000 movie, starring John Cusack. After  Hulu said Bye Fidelity to High Fidelity, Zoe posted this note of thanks on Instagram:

Commenters included Lena Waithe:

“NOOOOOOO!!! I rarely find shows that genuinely impress me. This one did. I told you how much I loved this show. And I still do. This one definitely deserved another season”

…and Questlove:

“WHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTT!!!?????????!!!!!!!!!!!??? Why do I always find out about tragic shit this way?!”

But it was a comment fromTessa Thompson, who wrote: “I will miss you alllllllllllll so much”, that made Zoe take the opportunity to throw a shank into Hulu’s side for their premature decision:

And HBO, which made Big Little Lies that starred Zoe, decided to keep the slaps at Hulu coming:

It is a little strange that High Fidelity got dropped since Zoe is the new Catwoman, which may make her a bigger star, which may have brought more eyeballs to High Fidelity. But well, I have a feeling that Hulu hasn’t seen the last of getting dragged for canceling High Fidelity. Zoe’s hot daddy Lenny Kravitz and hot stepdaddy Jason Momoa are probably going to roll up to Hulu defend her. And just like that, everyone just screamed, “High Fidelity sucked! I’m glad it got canceled,” while looking out their window and hoping that Lenny Kravitz and Jason Momoa show up.
