YouTubers Alex And Alan Stokes Face Four Years In Prison For A Bank Robbery “Prank”

23-year-old twins, Alex and Alan Stokes, are YouTubers with over 4 million subscribers and their latest “prank” got them charged with felonies, and now they face up to four years in prison. No, this isn’t some police overreaction to a whoopie cushion situation. These dumbasses faked a whole bank robbery and got an Uber driver held up at gunpoint. It’s the #AlmostGetSomeoneElseShotChallenge!

TooFab says that last October, the twins decided it would be funny to pull a viral “prank” where they pretended to be bank robbers fleeing from a robbery in Irvine, CA. They also used an Uber driver, who was not in on the prank, as their fake getaway driver. While wearing black ski masks, the twins jumped into their car and demanded the driver take them away. The driver refused to do so because DUH. But witnessed call the police. The police showed up and ordered the driver out of the car at gunpoint but later released him when they realized it was a prank.

But get this, they were left off with a warning. Gee, I wonder why? The Orange County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release:

“Police issued a warning to the Stokes brothers about the dangers of their conduct and let them go.”

But these little shits are so vapidly stupid that they decided to do the prank again hours later on the campus of the University of California, Irvine. So now they’re being actually punished (we’ll see…) and the twins each face one count of felony “false imprisonment effected by violence, menace, fraud, or deceit” and a misdemeanor of “falsely reporting an emergency.” If convicted of all charges, they face up to four years in state prison.

Orange County DA Todd Spitzer gave a statement:

“These were not pranks. These are crimes that could have resulted in someone getting seriously injured or even killed. Law enforcement officers are sworn to protect the public and when someone calls 911 to report an active bank robbery they are going to respond to protect lives. Instead, what they found was some kind of twisted attempt to gain more popularity on the internet by unnecessarily putting members of the public and police officers in danger.”

The original video was deleted from their actual account for obvious reasons, but here are these dingle-brained bootleg Paul brothers in action:

Whatever happened to pranks like putting someone’s hand in water when they are sleeping to make them pee? Switching sugar with salt? Saran wrap on the toilet? Well if these two boys end up in lock-up I’m sure there will be tons of new pranks for them to learn. Like, the old Hide The Contraband Up Your Ass To Pass Security prank? LOL! Such a goof!
