A Man Claims Ellen DeGeneres Bullied Him In The 70s When He Was An 11-Year-Old

Ellen DeGeneres has recently been Lea Michele-ed as awful stories about her and her show have trickled into the mainstream. As an investigation into the toxic environment of her show goes down, more stories about Ellen being a devil on earth are coming out including one from way back in the day. A man named Ben Gravolet told a tale to The Daily Mail about how Ellen was a monster before she was rich, famous, and powerful. According to Ben, a 20-something Ellen worked for his mom back in the 70s and bullied him. Yup, here comes the “Ellen devours the souls of children” stories.

Ben said that Ellen was an employee at his mother’s recruitment agency in the 70s, and whenever he would enter the office, Ellen would roast him. Ben was 11 at the time and Ellen was around 20 years old.

“I would dread going to [my mom’s] office to see her after school or on a day if I was sick and Ellen was there… She would criticize my weight. I would try to do homework in the office, she’d call me stupid, she’d call me fat. She would criticize my clothes… I was just a boy and this was a grown woman who took pleasure in seeing me become visibly upset… I don’t think there’s any excuse for it. I was a defenseless kid. What could I have told her back?… It has an effect if somebody in a superior position to you, who’s much older, goes “You’re fat. You might want to lose some of that weight chunky boy.” I was always self conscious about my weight and it made things worse.”

Ben called Ellen “the meanest, nastiest, most horrible person,” and recalled one moment where she made fun of his drawing skills.

“One incident stands out in my mind. I was sitting beside her desk. I was drawing, and she criticized the drawings. She said “I guess that would look nice if you could draw.”… As I watched her meteoric rise to fame, people would say how great she was and all I could think was she must be an incredible actor because she was one of the most vile people I’ve ever met in my life. Who takes pleasure in giving a child pain?”

Damn, Ellen must only like kids if she can cash in on them. Ben said he thinks Ellen is power-hungry:

“It appears to me that she hoards power over those that are lesser than her. It’s almost as if she has to feel controlling. It seems like she has to be superior, be better.”

Ben’s mom also talked to The Daily Mail and said that she didn’t know about the alleged bullying, but if she did she would’ve punched and fired Ellen. But Ellen calling a child fat and shitting on the pictures he drew? Who knew that in 2020, we’d find out that Ellen DeGeneres is allegedly the Ms. Trunchbull of our time?
