Director Catherine Hardwick Says That If A “Midnight Sun” Movie Happens, Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart Probably Won’t Be In It

Midnight Sun is the newest Twilight book and it’s told from the perspective of Edward Cullen, so you know, it’s something that totally needs to exist. August 4 will be an exciting day for Twihards who can’t let go and Stephenie Meyer’s bank accounts, because that’s the day that mess comes out. And, of course, there’s already talks about turning it into a movie since humanity hasn’t been enough. But along with people of color, don’t expect Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to reprise their roles because DUH.

Entertainment Tonight spoke with the director of the first Twilight movie, Catherine Hardwicke, about the new book’s release and potential for a new movie. Since the story is literally the exact same just told from Edward’s POV, the idea was floated to re-cut the 2008 Twilight into a new one. But Catherine said that would be hard to do since so much of the dialogue is terrible and non-existent inside Bella’s mind, “We did stay a lot more in Bella’s head.

Catherine believes it would be better to just do “another film” altogether, adding that it “would be fun. It would be fascinating.” But Catherine believes that RPattz and KStew are too big of stars to want to wade into that sparkly puddle of shit again:

“Rob is Batman now… and Kristen is in a million beautiful projects. Who knows what would happen.”

Nutty Madam better pour one out over the news that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will probably never ever play Bella and Edward again, unless they lose all their money in a Ponzi scheme and need a check. That earthquake in California yesterday was obviously caused by Robert howling to the gods with happiness.
