Zion, the baby pussy with tongue depressor splint-supported legs!
While looking for HSOTD options today, the frostbitten mound of deadness I call a heart warmed up from the sight of that adorableness at People Magazine and I decided to make him HSOTD even if the article stated that he believed Showgirls was the worst movie ever made or that Kid Rock was his favorite musical artiste (okay, that’s not true, I’d throw holy water at Zion and pray for him if that was the case). But Zion gets today’s stamp of Hot Slut approval for being a fluffy ball of adorableness with tongue depressor splints on his legs.
Little Zion was brought into Arizona Humane Society’s Bottle Baby ICU Center at five days old, and his back legs were like mine when I try to do one full set of legs lifts: busted and he was unable to walk. Since Zion was the size of a Q-tip, they had to get creative on what to use as splints. The medical staff used tongue depressors as splints and held them down with gauze and medical tape. Here’s Zion bringing the cuteness even while sprawled out all silly-like to drink leche:
It didn’t take long for Zion’s legs to start working again and once those tongue depressor stints were taken off his legs, he was sent off to a foster home until he’s ready to be adopted:
“After a little more than a week with his special splints, continued care, and lots of love, Zion began using his back legs normally and was able to rejoin the rest of his littermates in an AHS Foster Hero home!” the shelter told PEOPLE in a statement.
Those pictures are my Prozac. And well, I got the coldness and deadness feeling back in my heart area by telling myself that adorable Zion will one day grow up and put humans in stints by tripping their asses in the name of the cat world takeover!
