Kanye West’s Promised Album Is M.I.A. And He’s Refusing To See His Wife
I don’t know how Kanye West thinks he’s going to be President of the United States when he can’t even follow through with a single promise he’s made to the American people. Today his 10th studio album, Donda: With Child, was supposed to drop. But according to Us Weekly, when they went to look for it online, eager listeners found only tumbleweeds and the dust off Dave Chappelle’s shoes when he booked it out of there. Donda’s overdue. And while Us reports that Kanye did in fact see a doctor on Monday, he wasn’t able to induce him. All the doctor did was determine that Kanye “did not need immediate hospitalization,” with “immediate” doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. I guess Kanye was too busy gassing up his armada of Elon Musk-looking tanks while ignoring his wife’s phone calls (per TMZ). Is this the person you want not answering the phone at 3:00 AM? I know I’ve made up my mind, Kanye is not getting my vote come November!

Over the past week, the rapper, 43, tweeted several times that his 10th studio album, Donda: With Child, would be out “this Friday.” He shared multiple variations of the tracklist on Twitter in addition to announcing on Tuesday, July 21, that it would be accompanied by a “movie.”
However, when fans woke up on Friday morning and flocked to streaming services in search of the project, they were left confused and disappointed.
Ever the perfectionist, West has become notorious for releasing albums late in recent years. His gospel-driven 2019 album, Jesus Is King, was also delayed, while 2016’s The Life of Pablo had to be re-released after he decided to make last-minute adjustments to songs that had been out for months.
It could be he’s still filming for whatever mess of a movie he had planned. Here’s an alarming (given his recent behavior and threats of war against “Kris Jong-un”) post from the Yeezy Mafia Instagram account from yesterday. We’ve seen these tanks before in last year’s Closed on Sunday video.
It’s quite a different scene from last time we saw the armada when it was transporting Kim Kardashian, their kids, and Kris Jenner to the mountaintop for some of that old-time religion/cult indoctrination (potato/potato). TMZ reports that Kanye has been “ducking some calls and rejecting [Kim’s] pleas to join him in Wyoming.” Sources say “there’s been very little communication between husband and wife since he jetted off for his South Carolina rally last weekend, and zero face time.” Reportedly, Kim’s been worried about him and trying to intervene since before his South Carolina rally.
We’re told she was worried earlier in the month when he was in the Dominican Republic, so she flew to be with him … and knew then something was seriously off.
We’re told Kim had to leave Kanye to get back to their kids, and after that — without any heads up — he went to SC for his rally, and it’s been all downhill from there.
Whether it’s divorce papers, Donda, or the other shoe (a Yeezy, of course), something seems bound to drop very soon. I just know the folks at Gap are praying it’s not their stock price again.
