Tamar Braxton Was Taken To The Hospital After A Possible Suicide Attempt

It felt like last week we were covered with a glum cloud of horrible news after horrible news (“Last week?! Try the last year!” – everyone) and it hasn’t let up this week with The Blast saying that Tamar Braxton was taken to the hospital by EMTs late last night after someone called 911 over a possible suicide attempt. The Blast claims that Tamar is in stable condition but is unconscious.

Tamar has been staying at the Ritz Carlton residences in Downtown Los Angeles with her boyfriend David Adefeso. (Tamar filed for divorce from her second husband, music executive Vincent Herbert, in 2017 and the divorce was finalized last year.) David reportedly found Tamar unconscious and called 911. David told 911 that Tamar may have overdosed on alcohol and pills. Sources believe it may have been a suicide attempt, and TMZ says that Tamar was in a bad way earlier in the day and had threatened suicide.

Tamar’s rep confirmed that she has been going through it and asked everyone to send her good thoughts:

“Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day — more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her.”

Sources say that Tamara has been fighting with WE tv where she’s starred on Braxton Family Values with her sisters since 2011. Tamar shot a new reality show for WE tv called Tamar Braxton: Get Ya Life, and apparently she didn’t like how she came off in the trailer, which came out yesterday. In the trailer, Tamar tells producers she’s sick of being shown as the “angry Black woman.

Tamar also does a live show for YouTube with David called Coupled & Quarantined but yesterday’s show was postponed early in the day and the reason given was that Tamar wasn’t feeling well.

WE tv gave their own statement to People about Tamar:

“Tamar Braxton has been part of the WE tv family for nearly a decade. We are keeping her and her family in our thoughts and prayers and joining with her fans sending strength and healing at this difficult time.”

For many, going through life already feels like trying to run on quicksand in brick shoes with a bodybuilding elephant riding piggyback on your body while lifting weights and screaming at you to go faster, and throw in a pandemic and the state of this country, and it gets a lot worse. So here’s hoping Tamar fully recovers and keeps the internet going with her dot com” and “dot org” gems.
