Michelle Williams Has Given Birth To Her Second Child
I hope Michelle Williams – the Destiny’s Child one – has plenty of throat-soothing lozenges close by today. Because I’ve got a feeling her vocal cords are going to be worn the hell out after her 86th phone call explaining that no, she didn’t just have a baby. We’re talking about Michelle Williams, the Dawson’s Creek one. Us Weekly is saying that she has finally given birth to the baby she made with her husband (and partner in gossipy relationship timeline drama) Thomas Kail.
Us Weekly doesn’t provide much information. All we know is that Michelle and Thomas decided to be as quiet about their baby’s birth as they were their wedding, which allegedly happened sometime a few months ago. This is Michelle’s second child. 39-year-old Michelle is already mother to 14-year-old Matilda Ledger, whose father was the late Heath Ledger. This is 42-year-old Thomas’ first child.
We first learned back in December that Michelle was pregnant with her second child, and that the father was Michelle’s former Fosse/Verdon director, and we learned this information straight from an exclusive People magazine photo reveal. It’s fitting they met on the set of Fosse/Verdon, because there was a whole lot of tap dancing around the circumstances that brought them together. Michelle and Thomas met on set in 2018, when Michelle was still married to musician Phil Elverum and Thomas was married to his wife Angela Christian. Sources at the time described their respective splits and subsequent hooking up as “messy.”
Interestingly enough, Michelle’s good friends at People magazine have yet to say anything about Michelle and Thomas’ new baby. My guess is that’s because they’re working on a big, glossy, exclusive story on Michelle’s birth with a gallery of baby pictures. But they’ve got to get it out fast because it’s only a matter of time before Michelle’s best famous friend Busy Philipps breaks the birth news herself by oversharing in a series of Instagram stories. “Hey you guys, so my best friend Michelle Williams is totes on a bonkers amount of pain killers for her vag right now.”
