Chris D’Elia Has Been Accused Of Creeping On Underage Girls (UPDATE)

UPDATE: And of course, he denies it all and uses “underage women” in his denial to TMZ.

“I know I have said and done things that might have offended people during my career, but I have never knowingly pursued any underage women at any point.” Chris goes on to say, “All of my relationships have been both legal and consensual and I have never met or exchanged any inappropriate photos with the people who have tweeted about me.”

Here’s the original post:

40-year-old stand-up comedian Chris D’Elia recently tried to make the transition from ha-ha joke-telling to serious acting, by appearing in the second season of Netflix’s You. He played a rich and famous comedian named Joshua “Henderson” Bunter, who was a very bad dude that preyed upon underage girls. Well, if some recent accusations made on Twitter are true, then Chris probably shouldn’t submit his name for Emmy Best Supporting Actor in a Drama consideration, because he definitely wasn’t acting when he was in character.

Popculture reports that a Twitter user who goes by the name Simoné got the creepy ball rolling by tweeting about an older stand-up comedian who tried to solicit nude pictures from her when she was in high school.

She then proceeded to post more screen grabs that showed communication between herself and a person who is believed to be Chris D’Elia.

As it turned out, Simoné was far from the only underage girl Chris had allegedly tried to work his D’Isgusting magic on. So many Twitter users started chiming in with their own stories. There are so many. I spent half an hour trying to narrow down which “Chris D’Elia is an alleged child chaser” tweets I was going to include in this post, and eventually I gave up and started picking them at random. Here is my random tweet selection!

We also have some second-hand accusations as well, from people who were aware of the rumors, despite not being underage girls themselves.

Chris’s alleged work wasn’t just limited to slipping into the DMs of girls who were still in the “I’ve got a math test Friday” part of their lives. According to this first-person account, he was also a gross and shitty hotel guest.

Another Twitter user claimed that Chris used to take any nudes he received from girls online, and turn them into memes that he would show his other stand-up comic friends. Wow, unfunny on stage and off! You can’t say the man doesn’t work hard.

Multiple news outlets, like Decider, have reached out to Chris and Netflix (his latest stand-up special No Pain was made for Netflix). But they haven’t responded with a comment. Probably because it’s all hands on deck to scrub material like this from the internet:

Or tweets like this, that have aged like unrefrigerated milk.

If it wasn’t over then, it might be over now. Or who knows? There’s a chance his career won’t be affected. Maybe someone could ask Jerry Seinfeld about the likelihood of that? But all I know for sure is that Whitney Cummings will never, ever have to answer another question about if she had sex her Whitney co-star. After all, she started filming Whitney when she was 29.
