Open Post: Hosted By Paula Abdul Busting Out The “Forever Your Girl” Moves For An Arthritis Pain Relief Commercial

Forever Your Girl, the second single off of Paula Abdul’s masterpiece debut album, came out over 30 years ago. And since then, she’s sold millions upon millions of albums, put out many #1 hits, did the choreography for many major movies, made every rapper in the game retire by giving us MC Skat Cat, won a Best Actress Oscar for playing Judy in the superior remake of Rebel Without A Cause called Rush, Rush, helped to make American Idol a hit, gave us a train wreck interview for the ages, punished Julianne Hough for doing blackface, got God to curse that flop Bratz movie after she was wrongly fired from it, and much much more!

Paula’s body has also been through it throughout the years. Paula’s body got busted up in a 1992 car accident, she fell off a stage, and she needed to go through over a dozen spinal surgeries after getting severely injured in a highly mysterious plane crash (where’s the Netflix docu-series on that?!). But a car accident, falling off the stage, and a highly mysterious plane crash can’t keep a good bitch down. Because Paula is showing us that she’s still got it in a commercial for some arthritis pain relief gel.

As a youngin who did the Cold Hearted Snake moves on a jungle gym in the playground with my little friend Armando (as our adoring fans laughed and screamed “GAY!” at us), I would’ve rather Paula recreated the Cold Hearted Snake moves. But hey, I’ll take Forever Your Girl. In a commercial for the arthritis pain relief med Voltaren, 2020 Paula (dressed like a Charlotte Ruse assistant manager circa 1991) does the Forever Your Girl choreography next to 1989 Paula (dressed like Paula Poundstone) to show us that she can still kick, stretch, and kick. She’s FIFTY…seven.

Paula is forever your girl unless you’re arthritis, thanks to Voltaren!

I’m younger than Paula and just watching her kick gave me arthritis in my leg joints. Now I need that Voltaren shit. That’s how those evil med companies get you!

And here’s the full Forever Your Girl video:

Oh, I forgot to also mention up top that Paula also gave Elijah Wood his entire career. So add that to the pile of Paula’s greatness.
