Iggy Azalea Reveals She’s Got A Secret Son
It’s no secret that Iggy Azalea is really good at making herself disappear. For example, no one has seen her in a recording studio or a tour bus in years! But recently, Iggy went AWOL on social media, and not a single picture was posted from December 2019 to the middle of May 2020. It turns out Iggy’s absence was because she didn’t want a whole lot of people to know she secretly had a baby. But now she’s ok with everyone knowing her previously-secret news.
Us Weekly says that Iggy revealed what was up in Instagram Story posted earlier today. She said point blank that shes got a son, although didn’t say how old he was or when he was born. That’s probably because Iggy wants to keep his life private. But anyone who is famous knows, it’s hard enough to hide a COVID-19 rebound, let alone a whole baby. Just ask Kylie Jenner. So it sounds like Iggy realized that sooner or later she’d have to come clean about Baby Azalea.
But right now she’s not comfortable revealing any details of the baby’s birth, like if she did her contraction breath work by puffing out, “I-G-G-Y” while the nurse played “Fancy” to help her keep time. We also don’t know the name. Iggy took her name from her childhood dog, Iggy, and the street she grew up on, Azalea Street. So I can’t wait to hear what kind of naming strategy she employed when she filled out her son’s birth certificate. But one thing we can probably guess is that her son’s last name is either Carter or Carti. 30-year-old Iggy has been dating 23-year-old rapper Playboi Carti (also known as Jordan Carter), in 2018. They reportedly live in Atlanta together. Fans have been speculating online for a while that Iggy was pregnant, but she only addressed those rumors to confirm they were just rumors. Us Weekly says that when confronted with a question about the pregnancy gossip, Iggy tweeted:
“It would be so great if you stopped paying any mind to random tea pages.”
But that didn’t stop the speculation. People then began going over Iggy’s music video for “Lola,” which some believed was filmed while Iggy was pregnant. I’ll be honest, it does look like she hired the same stylist who made Cardi B wear EVERY SINGLE RUFFLE in an attempt to hide her pregnancy. But, as you’ll see, Iggy also flashes a very clearly not-pregnant stomach in other parts of the video. Mystery!
As for Iggy’s skills as a parent, well – she probably shouldn’t be the one who teaches her son his ABCs. But that’s not to say she won’t be a good mom. After all, Iggy has already proven that she knows how to de-escalate the situation when a kid throws a temper tantrum.
