Rocky, the tightrope-walking squirrel!

The things a desperate ho will do for a nut. Some desperate hos will risk getting coronavirus for a nut by hooking up with a Grindr trick in a park and sucking that dick (while wearing an easy access mask and Lysol wiping that dick, of course). And other desperate hos will pull some Cirque du Soleil theatrics to get that nut. Today, we pay tribute to the second kind of desperate-for-a-nut ho.

A human from Quispamsis, New Brunswick in Canada says that they leave peanuts on their deck for squirrels to eat up. Because this lockdown has left many people with a severe case of the bores, the human places peanuts in hard-to-reach places around their deck. And there’s one squirrel, Rocky, who has no trouble getting those nuts. So the human decided to really make Rocky work for that nut by tying the peanut to a piece of fishing line that’s strung across the deck. And Rocky rose to that challenge AND HOW! The human writes:

“Several squirrels have been coming to my deck to be fed peanuts. Rocky, one particularly ambitious squirrel showed an aptitude for problem-solving, always getting nuts no matter where I put them. I tied a nut to a piece of fishing line which was strung across the deck rails. He first tried to jump and grab the nut but then climbed across the fishing line, freed the nut, positioned it in his mouth while balancing on his hind legs, and jumped down with ease.”

And here’s Rocky proving he’s the Phillippe Petit of squirrels. Although, maybe Phillippe Petit is the Rocky of humans because I don’t think Phillippe Petit has caught a nut on a tightrope like this:

Rocky deserved another nut just for that performance. And I salute Rocky because I’ll always salute a trick who does what they gotta do to get that nut!
