Tinashe And Kehlani Both Dragged Lana Del Rey For Posting Protesters Faces On Her Instagram

Over the weekend, many celebrities spoke up about the Black Lives Matter demonstrations brought on after the police killing of George Floyd. Some celebrities even took part in the protestsLana Del Rey was having a rough week with the black community, so maybe she decided to show she was sorry by going to a protest herself? Well, it didn’t end up going as well as you’d think, as she posted some incriminating video of protestors to her Instagram and got called out by Tinashe and Kehlani. Wait until they find out she dated a cop.

Lana got into trouble last week for calling out several black female artists while whining about the recognition she believes she deserves. She doubled-down, and tripled-down and quadrupled-down despite criticism because she is just so delicate and she had to stand up for the glamorous yodelers out there. And things continued to go left for Lana when she posted a video clip showing looters and protestors.

PopCrush says that Tinashe–who also attended protests–immediately pulled up and told Lana to delete that shit. Posting protestors’ faces can be very harmful–opening them up to both legal backlash as well as even internet harassment from white supremacists. Tinashe called her out on Twitter, writing:

“@LanaDelRey why the fuck are you posting people looting stores on your page, literally what is your problem?”

And HotNewHipHop says that Kehlani did the exact same, posting:

“Please remove your Instagram post it’s dangerous as fuck and a very poor choice of moments to post. By all means protest, but DO NOT endanger people with your very massive platform. Oh and turn your fuckin comments on man.”

Of course, Lana’s coven of sleepy-witch stans came to their Queen’s defense and went after Kehlani and Tinashe. But they made it clear that this isn’t about Lana Del Rey, this is about crucial social change. Kehlani wrote:

“It’s not about her don’t make it about her it’s about furthering endangering the lives of black people. It’s about responsibility.”

And Tinashe added:

Bozo! Lana eventually deleted the post, but maybe reposted it? There is a protest video up on her page right now. Tinashe and Kehlani thanked Lana for deleting the post, but Kehlani mentioned that it was reposted.

Lana hasn’t responded yet, but when she does, she’ll probably release at least another 15 videos in an old-timey snuff film filter where she’ll cry and whine about how badly she’s treated. Why won’t ANYONE think of the rich crooning witches?!
