The Puppy Exerciser!

Yes, I watched a puppy chase a leash for 90 seconds and I watched it at least four times. Because well, when your brain and soul begin to collapse at the same time while looking at the state of the world on Twitter, you need something adorably mundane to numb your mind for a bit and there’s not much that is more adorably mundane than a stupidly cute puppy friend chasing a leash for a minute and a half.

On May 26 in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada, a human recorded a video of her thirteen-week-old Golden Retriever puppy, Jeeya, trying to catch her leash which was wrapped around the kitchen island. Note: If you want the perfect puppy exerciser, just wrap a leash around an island!

“My little thirteen-week-old Golden Retriever named Jeeya is always fascinated with anything that moves. Jeeya and I came back from our walk and she ran inside. When I got in, I saw her running around the kitchen island. It took me a moment to realize she was trying to catch her training leash. I grabbed my phone and started shooting these adorable moments. Ultimately she did end up catching it. Smart puppy. This was very spontaneous and hilarious.”

Here’s the highly suspenseful video of Jeeya trying to catch her leash before (SPOILER ALERT) catching it.

Yeah, the reboot is usually much, much shittier than the original. But this reboot of Catch Me If You Can is the damn exception. Steven Spielberg wishes!
