Ramy Youssef Tried To Have Lindsay Lohan On His Show “Ramy” But She Ghosted Him

The second season of Hulu’s Ramy, starring comedian Ramy Youssef, debuts this Friday and like many rising shows, it managed to get some special guest stars for its new season. Such as Mia Khalifa, the woman who is called a “porn star” despite not working for long or earning that much.  There was supposed to be another guest star this season but she ghosted Ramy before filming. An actress completely squandering on a job opportunity on a critically-acclaimed series? Who could that be? Lindsay Lohan? Oh… makes a lot more sense.

Entertainment Weekly spoke with Ramy about the second season of his Golden Globe-winning show and he said that they wanted Lindsay Lohan to be a part of a storyline involving Muslim people you don’t really think are Muslim. Remember how Lindsay is supposedly Muslim now? Lindsay was on board until she wasn’t.

“We had an idea that it wasn’t just her, but we were interested in this idea of people that you don’t really think are Muslim. We actually cast Lindsay Lohan, because Lindsay had this whole thing about converting to Islam. And so we had cast Lindsay and I talked to her and she was down, and then, you know, like Lindsay does, we just kind of stopped hearing from her. [Laughs] I was trying to get ahold of her and she was on the call sheet, and I guess she couldn’t make it. I don’t know, I never heard from her… You can’t try and put Lindsay in a box, that’s what I know. Lindsay is going to be Lindsay.”

Yeah, she’s a wily one. She’ll steal your kid if you’re not looking. Mess is gonna mess. Lindsay’s rep didn’t respond to EW’s request to comment on her giving up a paying gig and probably because her rep (Dina Lohan) was still passed out from the night before. But Ramy is open to having her on season three since “she is one of my favorite Muslims.”

Is Lindsay in a position to blow off (not like that) work? Masked Singer Australia pays that well? What could she possibly have been doing? It wasn’t promo for that lazy comeback single. It wasn’t any other recognizable film or TV show. Did she start that masterpiece Cursed co-starring Mickey Rourke? More Instagram live sessions that are coherent and informative? Poor Ramy, he really missed out on her high-quality acting chops.
