The Barbie Bubbling Spa from 1983!

On Memorial Day, we honor the brave people who died fighting for our freedom. And some Americans honor this holiday by getting day drunk on Mtn Dew and Barefoot white wine spritzers while lounging in an inflatable pool from Walmart. Even Barbie! Although, Barbie is a refined lady of opulence so she gets day drunk on La Croix Pamplemousse and ro-zay while lounging in her extravagant bubbling spa of opulence!

Making Barbie playsets from the 80s a HSOTD has become somewhat of a Memorial Day tradition here. Two years ago, Barbie’s Western Fun Barbecue Playset got the HSOTD treatment and now it’s her Bubbling Spay’s turn. Barbie’s Bubbling Spa came out in 1983, and it definitely blew the young minds of anyone who played with it because it actually bubbled up and made bubbling sounds. You added water to it and pressed the button to turn Barbie’s spa into a decadent tub of bubbles. Here’s the commercial where Barbie and her friend luxuriate in her Bubbling Spa while maintaining their polyester hair glamour.

Many public pools are still shut down, so if you don’t have a private one, playing with Barbie and her Bubbling Spa is the closest you’ll get! Or just do what I do and use an inflatable pool and your own farts to create your own Bubbling Spa. Barbie would too if she had a butthole!
