The Video For Lady Gaga And Ariana Grande’s “Rain On Me” Is Here
That son of a bitch did it. She really did it! Lady Gaga managed to release her new single ft. Ariana Grande, Rain On Me, without any premature leaks (insert joke about pre-cum), a first for her new album Chromatica. A big congrats to Gaga and her team for achieving the absolute bare minimum!
According to Gaga and Ariana, this song is the most meaningful musical collaboration since Hall met Oates. Ditch your therapist and forget the emotion known as “sadness”, because all your struggles are over. Rain On Me is your savior.
Here are their gushing tweets, which… wow:

One time I felt like I was crying so much it would never stop. Instead of fighting it, I thought bring it on, I can do hard things. @arianagrande I love you for your strength and friendship. Let’s show them what we’ve got. 👯♀️ https://t.co/eX18JePJqg

If we’re gonna cry we’re gonna cry together, but we’re gonna dance while we do it. #RainOnMe #LittleMonsters @ArianaGrande 💕💕let it pour☔️ I’m crying on my porch that I use to not be able to leave, I was stuck. Now I dance on it and sing about how I got through it. pic.twitter.com/fZgrMDJYg2

Uh huhhhh. Didn’t realize that these two mega-rich pop stars felt pain/ate pasta on such a higher level than the rest of us basics. Anyway, here’s the video:
Song review: Mehhh (although, ask me again in two weeks, when I somehow know every word/dance move). It sounds like some techno shit you’d hear in the H&M dressing room as you try to squeeze into a romper and break down over your witch-like side profile in those blasted three-way mirrors.
Video review: It’s that same Stupid Love Power Ranger pink warrior aesthetic, but darker and with rain. Also, and I know this may be shocking, in some takes, Ariana ditches the ponytail and wears her “hair” (ten-foot weave) down.
But since I’m biased (read: cynical bitch), I deferred to my Gaga-obsessed friend for his expert take, which was: “LOVE it. Poppy, fun, and reminds me of classic, old Gaga!” Mind you, this is someone so deep inside the Little Monster cult he shelled out $534.50 for the summer Chromatica tour, which, to his dogmatic glee, still hasn’t been officially corona-canceled.
I’m sure Rain On Me will shoot straight to #1, and become the pop bop of the summer. Too bad all the clubs will be closed. This is the type of music that requires multiple tabs of MDMA to fully enjoy.
