Ruby Rose’s “Batwoman” Exit Wasn’t Totally Her Decision

When Ruby Rose announced that she was done playing the title role in The CW’s Batwoman after only one season, she made it sound like it was her decision, but sources piped up saying that it wasn’t 100% her decision and now more sources are piping in to say she never “acclimatized” to the work-life of a TV star living in Vancouver. And at the same time, she was apparently not fun to work with. I see that Ruby Rose is trying to be the new Shannen Doherty. You fucking wish, Ruby!

Sources tell TV Line that Ruby’s exit was a mutual decision and a much-needed separation rather than an amicable split. Word is that Ruby couldn’t even put her amazingly magnificent acting skills to the test and pretend that she liked her job. She made it clear that she would rather become a Katy Perry stan than continue to do a job that a million other actresses would give their internal organs for. So it was decided that the best choice was to part ways:

“It wasn’t 100-percent her decision,” concedes a source close to the show. “It was a breakup. She wasn’t happy working on the show, and did that make her fun to work with? No. So everyone decided it would be in the best interests of the show, and for all concerned, if they parted ways. It just wasn’t a good fit.”

Those sources also say that Ruby never ended up liking life in Vancouver and “was distressed by the long hours demanded of a lead TV role.” So it sounds like she had no idea what she was signing up for, and probably signed a long-ass contract but didn’t want to take a hit for breaking it, so she turned up her asshole ways so they would agree to let her out.

Well, good luck to Ruby. I’m sure everyone wants to hire the actress who’s as fun to deal with as a hemorrhoid flare-up on a twelve-hour flight.
