Matt Lauer Debuted A Tattoo About “Hatred” After He Tried Dragging Ronan Farrow’s Reporting Of Him

62-year-old Matt Lauer decided to go out and get himself some ink. No, he didn’t decide to have a rare moment of self-awareness and get BEWARE OF THE SMUG DOUCHE inked onto his forehead. Instead, he got an arm tattoo of a quote about “hatred.” The tattoo made its appearance after Mediaite published an op-ed that Matt shit out about his apparent nemesis, Ronan Farrow.
Matt has been accused of rape, abusing his power over female employees, having affairs, flashing people, and buying co-workers sex toys as gifts. But Matt denies he’s guilty of rape and accused Ronan Farrow of being a shitty reporter who’s only after headlines. Matt wrote:
“Will anyone hold Ronan Farrow thoroughly accountable? I doubt it. I ask people to consider how they would react if someone they loved were accused of something horrific and basic journalistic standards were ignored because of a desire to sell books. I also urge people to remember that there are two sides to all stories.”
Ronan replied on Twitter saying he fact-checks like a motherfucker, but nice try.
All I’ll say on this is that Matt Lauer is just wrong. Catch and Kill was thoroughly reported and fact-checked, including with Matt Lauer himself.

Matt claimed he “was falsely accused” by Brooke Nevils, the co-worker who accused him of rape. Matt also wrote that the accusation “was devastating for my family” and was all a lie “used to sell books.” Brooke decided to take Matt to task yet again and responded on Twitter:
DARVO: Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender

So after all that, it was interesting that Matt suddenly showed off a new arm tattoo on the ho stroll. According to Us Weekly, it reads:
“Hatred corrodes the container it’s carried in.”

What is that font, though? Drunk Male Doctor? But Matt is right about hatred corroding the container it’s carried in. I mean, peep at his hairline.
The quote was from the eulogy that former senator Alan Simpson gave at the funeral of George H.W. Bush in 2018:
“You would have wanted [Bush] on your side. He never hated anyone. He knew what his mother and my mother always knew: Hatred corrodes the container it’s carried in. The most decent and honorable man I ever met was my friend George Bush.”
Well, nice tattoo choice, Matt. You really showed Ronan Farrow and all those women who accused you of being a predator, huh? Although, you better hope that former co-host Ann Curry doesn’t decide to get a pointed tattoo of her own. Apparently she could “could destroy” him with what she knows, so clearly Ann’s got plenty of inspiration for passive-aggressive tattoo quotes.
