Jodie Comer Is Apparently The Frontrunner For The “Mad Max” Furiosa Movie

Jodie Comer, star of Killing Eve and accent-master extraordinaire, is rumored to be at the top of the list to play the 20-something Furiosa in the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel. FINALLY, a beautiful woman has caught a big break in Hollywood!

George Miller is planning to do a Furiosa prequel movie and said that he would like 44-year-old Charlize Theron to return to the role she created, but that’s not really possible. Because while it possible to use to make any Kardashian look like a wrinkle-less alien sex doll with help from filters, the technology isn’t there to make Charlize look 20 years younger. Although, does Charlize even want that shit again after having had to spend so much time with Tom Hardy? So George is looking for a 20-something Furiosa and he’s apparently into 27-year-old Jodie Comer.

Screenrant is reporting that director George  is currently held up in production on the aptly named Three Thousand Years of Longing with Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton. But he apparently wants to begin filming the Furiosa prequel ASAP––and he is already auditioning actresses for the lead role, including 24-year-old Anya Taylor-Joy (although some are saying that Anya is being looked at for a different role than Furiosa).

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Jodie is being considered for ONLY Furiosa––and if her Killing Eve character, Villanelle, is any indication, she’ll be the one to beat.

Not much is known about the proposed prequel, other than it will explore more of Furiosa’s backstory, including her time in the “Green Place” (that’s my favorite weed shop!) and her experiences with other Vuvalini warrior women. So it looks like there will be roles for lots of badass ladies (cut to me, actually getting excited about an action movie?! What year is this?).
