Posh And Becks Accused Of Deceiving British Taxpayers With Their Purchase Of A Miami Penthouse

I feel terrible for whoever dry cleans Piers Morgan’s pants, because there’s no way he didn’t blow out his lower spine from orgasming over this news. Last month Piers accused Victoria Beckham of using British government COVID-19 relief funds to help furlough the employees of her fashion brand. Some people are now questioning how much Victoria needed that government handout after it was revealed that she and David Beckham might just so happen to be the new owners of a $20 million penthouse in Miami.

Page Six says that The Beckhams decided to buy the 11,000 square foot penthouse in Miami for just under $20 million because they need a place to live when David finally launches his Intern Miami FC. They reportedly chose the penthouse of One Thousand Museum building because it was more private than a house.

The Beckhams are reportedly worth $500 million, so you would think that a $20 million penthouse in Miami is well within their budget. But according to Page Six, Posh and Becks allegedly took out a $12 million bank loan to help pay for the unit. And they took out the loan via their firm, Beckham Brand Ltd. (Beckham Brand Holdings was set up in 2014 as a holding company for Victoria’s fashion business). Here’s where it gets messy. Victoria’s fashion brand accepted $185,000 in government assistance over the span of two months to assist in paying employees.

There have also been multiple reports that the Victoria Beckham fashion brand is about two bad financial moves away from giving up on the good times. If those rumors are true, then it absolutely explains why Victoria would apply for the CJRS financial benefit to help her 30 employees. But then again, Victoria is one half of a reported $500 million couple, and that didn’t sit well with a whole lot of people, who side-eyed her choice to get a government hand out. Following criticism, the Victoria Beckham fashion brand announced that starting May 1st, it wouldn’t be seeking any more government assistance funded by British taxpayers.

Page Six says that David and Victoria’s recent penthouse deal has a lot of people suspicious about where they got the money to pay for their new place. Because yeah, it does kind of look like they’re shuffling some cash around while taking taxpayer-funded handouts. But Page Six doesn’t have any hard-hitting evidence that David and Victoria are government scam artists. And I don’t think they are, really. They might share a last name and the ownership of a holding company, but Victoria’s fashion business is different from David’s soccer business.

All I know for sure is that $20 million is exactly how much it costs for Victoria to own the most perfect home for herself. I’ve always suspected that Victoria Beckham is actually an alien, and it’s entirely too accurate that she chose to live in a condo that looks like the waiting room of a plastic surgeon’s office from Men in Black
