Matt Bomer Jokes About Feeling “Objectified” When Compared To Every Other Brown-Haired White Man In Ryan Murphy’s Hiring Pool

There’s been a long-running meme on Twitter that makes fun of Ryan Murphy casting brown-haired pretty white man after brown-haired pretty white man in American Horror Story and his other shows. If you’re Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, or a come-to-life brunette Ken Doll, you will have job security for years to come thanks to Ryan. Well, Matt Bomer, one of the stallions from Ryan’s stable of Barbizon-trained-male-models-turned-thespians, piped up about being called a member of Ryan’s version Hitchock Blondes.

To say that Ryan has a type would be an understatement. If there’s an opportunity to showcase a handsome white man via gratuitous frontal nudity or completely unnecessary shirtless shots, he’s going to take it. And, up until now, not a lot of people have really been complaining.

However, Pink News says that last week, a meme you may have seen before made the rounds again. The tweet referenced five brown-haired actors who have all appeared in Ryan Murphy productions, and the Twitter user admitted that he couldn’t name one of them (Keke Palmer‘s influence continues). See if you can name them all. The prize IS being a multi-millionaire mega producer, because Ryan Murphy is probably the only one who can name them all.

The men, from left to right, are Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Max Greenfield, and Wes Bentley.

Since many are bored at home and have the time, Matt dropped in to say that if Twitter is going to “objectify” him, then he’s going to call himself the Grace Kelly of Murphy’s Brunettes (no, I am not calling it Murphy’s Browns since that doesn’t sound right and there’s only one Murphy Brown!).

Even Finn managed to get in on the joke:

When the original poster of the tweet apologized to Matt, claiming, “Sorry, sir, I just really didn’t know your name,” Matt clarified that his feewings weren’t really hurt:

If that wasn’t random enough, when some people attempted to troll Matt’s comment, Joe Manganiello, Matt’s Magic Mike co-star, came in to save the day

Matt then used the moment to do what many celebrities are doing and asked the people to open up their wallets to donate to something:

I’m telling you, this pandemic has got people fighting over everything. Although, this little fight over Murphy’s Brunettes is good news for the makers of brown hair dye. Because every unemployed blondie actor in Hollywood is probably going to brown up his hair with some Just For Men before changing his Instagram profile pic and sliding into Ryan Murphy’s DMs.
