Lazy Dazy!

Who knew that in the 1970s existed a creepy doll that did a flawless impersonation of me 23 out of 24 hours of the day. And hell, she did a flawless impersonation of most people 23 out of 24 hours of the day during these times of corona lockdown. In the 1970s, the lazy execs of Ideal Toys decided to really bring the lazy by creating Lazy Dazy, a doll that could’ve been called Drunk Dazy since all trick was good for was passing out!

Seriously, someone in the 1970s said, “You know what’s a good idea?’ A doll that passes out after you spank her.” Even the 1980s is looking at the 1970s like, “You’re fucked up.

Lazy Dazy was the demon doll cousin of Rusty The Narcoleptic Dog, and she brought hours of entertainment by sleeping. Basically, Lazy Dazy paved the mimis way for fellow lazy bitch icons like Anahi Santos. Lazy Dazy was like any friend or family member of mine the minute I start talking about…. anything really.

I don’t know what’s creepier about this commercial: Lazy Dazy or the little girl watching Lazy Dazy sleep (that little girl totally grew up to be a serial killer). Or all of the above!

And if you’re wondering what Lazy Dazy looked like when she was actually awake, you shouldn’t have wondered that, because her open eyes will devour your entire soul.

Yes, Lazy Dazy was a mess and she’d probably sleepwalk into your room to murder you, but whenever I drunkenly pass out while trying to watch the same episode of Dateline NBC that I’ve been trying to watch for a week, she’d pass out too and I wouldn’t feel so alone. Basically, we’re drunken lazy best friend soulmates.
