Rihanna Wants You To Know That She’s Too Busy Saving The World To Put Out New Music
Under normal circumstances, if I heard about a celebrity making statements like the one above, my eyeballs would literally have to be strapped in place for months. But Rihanna is proving herself more efficient than just about anybody in the country right now during the coronavirus pandemic by ponying up money for life-saving equipment and getting out there and doing the damn thing. So y’all should just sit there and shut up about a new bop.
Fans have been pining after a Rihanna release for a while now (her last album, Anti, came out in 2016). Since then, she’s launched her own LVMH fashion house. She’s broken up with her billionaire boyfriend. And she’s posed for the May cover of British Vogue. So needless to say, she doesn’t have time to hit the studio every day. She’s too busy hitting back at the coronavirus and President “Hydroxychloroquine” Trump. During an Instagram livestream last night, Rihanna did the Futsal Shuffle with Lil Uzi Vert, and also spat this out:
“If one of y’all motherf*ckers ask me about the album one more time when I’m tryna save the world unlike y’all president… on sight!”

Saving the world might sound like a bold flex. But The Huffington Post would like to remind you of everything COVID-19-related that Rihanna has tackled in the last month, okay?
She has donated $1 million to the COVID-19 response teams in New York and Los Angeles.
She got a personal thank you from Governor Andrew Cuomo when it was discovered that she had donated personal protective equipment to frontline workers in New York state.
She’s a co-sponsor, with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, of a $4.2-million-dollar fund to provide assistance to quarantine victims experiencing domestic abuse.
And, her Clara Lionel Foundation has contributed a further $5 million to various organizations assisting with COVID-19 issues, including medical supplies and food banks.
AND despite suing him last year, Rihanna bought her dad a ventilator (and $700,000 worth of ventilators for her home nation of Barbados) when it was discovered that he had tested positive for COIVD-19.
Trump? He’s tapping away on Twitter about how nobody is giving him enough credit and bragging about how President Trump’s Coronavirus Happy Time Show is a ratings hit.
