Florence Pugh Wants You To Stop Talking Shit About Her Age Difference With Zach Braff

April 9, 2020 / Posted by:

Florence Pugh has been nominated for an Oscar (for playing the Kirsten Dunst/Samantha Mathis role in last year’s Little Women), she’s getting a Marvel check (for that Black Widow movie, which, at this rate, will come out in 2030), and since she’s a mash-up of Elizabeth Olsen, early days Scarlett Johansson, and a touch of Jennifer Lawrence, she’ll have a long and successful career. But while ScarJo and JLaw avoid Instagram (which is a smart move for JLaw since her page would be a shit show, literally, it’d be 100% fart videos), Florence is on there and shares her personal life with her 1.3 million followers. And Florence is shocked and disgusted to find out that the comment section of Instagram isn’t just filled with Care Bear farts and fairy queefs. Followers barf up hate in there as well, and they did just that over a picture that Florence posted of her man Zach Braff. And Florence decided that reading the comments would be a good idea, and after she did that, she released a video telling everyone that she’s done with the hate. When asked for a response, the lonely “Turn Off Commenting” button on Florence’s Instagram said, “Errr, she could hit at me more and save the dramatics for the movies.”

Florence and Zach have been together for about a year, and some think it’s gross since she’s 24 and he’s 45 (and some of his past girlfriends have been much younger than him). And since the internet has given a voice to any bitter piece of trash (Why is everybody looking at me?!), many have let Florence know in her IG comments that they think that’s nasty. And Florence is bothered by strangers being bothered by the age difference. She hit back at one comment about Zach’s age in December, and now she’s hit back with a whole video.

Zach turned 45 on April 6, and Florence put up a birthday tribute to him on Instagram, using a picture of him slowly suffocating a dog by using the pooch as a mimis pillow:

Within 8 minutes, the comment section was filled with people dry heaving over who Florence chooses to be with. I know it took 8 minutes, because Florence said so in an almost 4-minute long video message she posted. Yes, this situation is that serious. Florence said a lot, including calling the comments “bullying” and “abuse,” and said that if you fuck with Zach, you fuck with her. Florence made the video, because she doesn’t want to have to close comments on her posts.  Here’s some of it from People:

“On Monday, I posted a photo in honor of Zach’s birthday and I wrote a birthday message underneath. Within about eight minutes of the photo being posted, I had about 70 percent of the comments hurling abuse and being horrid — basically bullying someone on my page,” Pugh said.

“It is the first time in my entire Instagram life that I’ve had to turn off the comments on my page. I’ve never been an Instagram page that encourages that. I’ve never been an Instagram page that likes that toxic vibe,” Pugh continued.

“I will not allow that behavior on my page. I’m not about that. It makes me upset.”

“It makes me upset that during this time when we need to be together, the world is aching and the world is dying, and a few of you decided to bully for no reason,” Pugh said seemingly in reference to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“I have been working since I was 17. I have been earning money since I was 17. I became an adult when I was 18.”

“I am 24 years old. I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love and I would never in my life tell anyone who they can and cannot love,” Pugh said. “It is not your place,” Pugh said adding that if anyone has a problem with it they can unfollow her.

“The abuse that you throw at him is abuse that you are throwing at me, and I don’t want those followers. I do not want to have to be protecting my comments every time I post a picture of him. I really hope that I can continue this relationship with a lot of you,” Pugh added.

And here’s the video message, where she calls herself an “Instagram page” several times:

Okay, but there’s a good chance that the trolls will take that video, slather it with some ketchup, and gobble it all up. It will fuel their hate and give them energy for the next time she posts about Zach.

And Florence can call me a toxic hater all she wants (I mean, it’s listed as my occupation on my tax returns), but I need to point out a defamatory and hurtful lie in her caption. “In true Flo fashion“????? The only true Flo fashion that should be recognized is this:

And in that video, Florence Pugh is not wearing a blue headband, a Bump-It, and a pristine white uniform while telling us we can save more by bundling our home and auto insurance. I will wait for Florence to make a full retraction in a 4-minute long apology video. I’ve always got the time, but now I’ve really got the time.
