Katy Perry And Madonna Fell For Fake Videos Of Italians Singing Their Songs During Coronavirus Lockdown

As you may have heard, there’s a little thing called coronavirus fucking shit up across the globe. Italy is on total lockdown and citizens are staying home. The country has since reported 398 deaths and 3,590 new cases in 24 hours and have confirmed over 24,700 cases and more than 1,800 deaths total. To keep spirits up during such trying times, Italians have been singing, chanting or playing music from their balconies. Videos have come out of this, and some people have turned it into a meme by faking the videos into the people singing pop songs. Katy Perry and Madonna both thought the videos were real and retweeted ’em.

Here’s a couple of videos that I believe are real (but who knows since this is the internet):

Because everyone is self-isolating and are bored,  stans changed the music in the videos, and Katy and Madonna really thought that Italians were singing their songs together as the world ends. Videos came out of the people “singing” Madonna’s Rise Up and Katy Perry’s Roar. There was also a video of the people “singing” Cheryl’s Fight For This Love. All three responded to the fakes:

Katy also tweeted a response where she got the Italian flag wrong, using the Iranian flag instead:

Cheryl laughed it off after she found out she got got:

Honestly, I’m just happy we’re all keeping busy at home creating pop culture propaganda instead of going out and spreading disease. One is my favorites is the one where the neighborhood sings Bitch Better Have My Money by Rihanna–a classic:

And the best one by far is the Italian neighborhood collectively watching the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills fight between Kim Richards vs. Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna:

“Beast?!”
