Open Post: Hosted By The Trailer For The Property Brothers’ New HGTV Show “Celebrity IOU”

The Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, have gotten another show that will make them even richer. Their new HGTV show, Celebrity IOU, will be all about celebs giving back to the people in their lives through the magic of home renovation. One of the celebrity guests is Brad Pitt. Yeah, speaking of housing IOUs, maybe Brad should have taken the Property Brothers crew down to the Lower Ninth Ward?

HGTV announced the new show, which premieres April 13th, and features celebrities like Viola Davis, Melissa McCarthy, Michael Bublé, Jeremy Renner, and Rebel Wilson. In each episode, one celebrity will join forces with the Property Brothers to come up with a design plan for someone in their lives who has loved them and supported them throughout their lives. Like Jeremy Renner does a room for his mother. With these HGTV shows, sometimes the homeowners pay for the renovations (but pay at cost and get discounts and free material from advertisers). But who knows with this show. I guess Jeremy Renner figures why should he use his Marvel money to pay to renovate a room for his mom when HGTV will?

Here’s what the Property Bros said about their new show:

“It’s amazing to see someone who is extremely successful be grounded enough to always remember the people who helped them get there,” Jonathan says in a statement about the new show.

“Being a part of this show really hits home for us,” Drew adds in his own statement. “This is what we love to do, transforming people’s lives through their homes.”

Okay, but again, where’s the show where Brad Pitt and the Property Brothers go to the Lower Ninth Ward to fix up all of the death traps that Brad’s foundation built? Although, I’m not sure if subway tiles and barn doors would cure the toxic mold problem.
