Tinashe Got Roasted For A Joke She Made About North West

Sometimes social media gets so out of hand all you can do is sigh and keep scrolling, because there’s certain to be something to piss you off just a little more in a few clicks. And if you need proof please look no further than the current situation taking place between Tinashe, an adult singer, and North West, the daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Apparently, North has stolen a song from another child artist and when Tinashe made a joke about it, Twitter came for her head with torches and pitchforks.

In keeping up with her family tradition of doing anything for attention, North West was pushed out onstage decided to bust out a few rhymes during Kanye’s Yeezy fashion show in Paris.

Honestly, she looks a little terrified, but then again that might be her everyday look of panic while living with a ticking time bomb and zombie mannequin (Kanye and Kim respectively). In any case, although she received high praise from most people who caught wind of the performance, some immediately recognized that the beat she used belongs to another pint sized rapper named ZaZa. Last year, ZaZa and her father recorded a song titled “What I Do?” which became an internet sensation.

in July of 2019, ZaZa & her dad went into the studio for the ultimate experience! To finally begin making the music she wanted to make. We take PRIDE in creativity, and believe whether a child’s involved or an adult… creativity deserves RESPECT/homage! What @kimkardashian (Kanye west) are doing with their daughter… with the inspiration of ZaZa & our family in mind is okay… we not mad BUT . . PLS SHOW LOVE AND SUPPORT TO THE ORIGINAL FIRST!!! We admire Kanye west, and adore his journey. However, we don’t wanna feel like our daughter’s journey in the world of entertainment is being STIFLED . . THANK YOU! 💕 . . #ZaZaChallenge #WhatIDo #ThatsANoNo #ZaZa #BlackGirlMagic #blackgirlsrock #HypeKids #hypebae #redcarpetgirlz #explorepage #viral #yeezyseason8 #kanyewest #kimkardashian

However, Complex reports that once ZaZa’s parents found out about North’s rendition of the song and they were none too pleased. Taking to Instagram, they quickly reminded everyone who the true Queen of Baby Hip Hop is (ZaZa of course) and Tinashe co-signed in the comment section by writing, “North West wishes“. And that’s when people got pissed.

ZaZa is over it and apparently wants to collaborate with North West. But others aren’t over it, so Tinashe had to speak out about exactly what prompted her to make the comments. And in news that will surprise absolutely no one, she was merely making a joke.

“It was a fucking joke y’all seriously dragging it,” Tinashe tweeted in response to a fan saying she was “wrong” for her Instagram comment. “Y’all really acting As if I personally reached out to the little girl like she even on the gram like I’m fucking sick of everyone being so damn self righteous Plssssssssssss.” She doubled down on her position in a follow-up tweet.

If you thought the Beyhive was bad, they apparently have just one tenth of the insanity of North’s fans (the Knee High Hive?). Or perhaps this was all a plan Kanye and Kim put into place by getting people to do their dirty work by calling Tinashe out so they wouldn’t have to?
