Drake Called The Mother Of His Child A “Fluke” In His New Song
Drake is quite the songwriter. He managed to piss people off twice in one week over the same song. What a maestro. The song When To Say When got people mad because he referenced Michael Jackson, children, and Neverland Ranch in a lyric. And now people are mad because he calls the mother of his child a “fluke” in that same song.
Sophie Brussaux is the mother of Drake’s 2-year-old son, Adonis. Adonis was hidden from life and was only revealed after Pusha T got into a feud with Drake and let us all know that he was actually a father to a son he never interacted with. Drake then admitted it himself when he brought his son to live with him and become a hands-on father used the reveal to promote his newest album. Well, he’s bringing it up again, and surprise, surprise, it’s related to new music!
In When To Say When the line about Sophie goes:
“Baby mama fluke, but I love her for who she is.”
Some thought the lyric was rude, and others defended Drake. Most pointed out how intentionally orgasming inside of a woman’s vagina sometimes leads to children and is not really related to chance. And Drake has been accused of not using condoms in the past so…
Drake is rude as hell. You slept with one (of many) women with no condom, she gets pregnant, has the baby, keeps it a secret for you, takes the embarrassment when Pusha revealed it, has never said anything bad about you…and she’s a fluke?! He needs to be slapped!

Back in 2018, Drake suggested that he was “a single father” trying to raise a kid along with a woman he doesn’t necessarily always get along with. Reminder: She is the one who has custody of the child. Anyway, he said he doesn’t want his son to feel any negative way about his mother, which is weird to bring up yourself if you don’t want that message out there (via People):
“I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to not love his mother. I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother. We have found ourselves in a situation and we are both equally responsible. Now, I’m just really excited to be a great father… No matter what happens, I have unconditional love for the mother of my child because I want him to love his mother and I have to project that energy.”
Clearly calling her a “fluke” bares no negative energy. It’s a good thing, right? Drake should try that in court when Fluke Baby Mama decides to get more child support from him. And can men stop pretending they don’t know how reproductive systems work. “Oh my god my semen reached her egg, what a fluke!” Did Degrassi Community School not have sex-ed?
