Megan THEE Stallion Is Under THEE Bad Contract And Can’t Release New Music Because Of It

Hot Girl Summer is under attack! TMZ says there’s another woman who claims she’s getting screwed over by record executives. Taylor Swift has passed the torchMegan THEE Stallion is going the TSwift route and publicly calling out greedy executives for holding her music captive. Megan recently signed with Roc Nation management, and they apparently let her know that she’s got a shitty contract with her record label 1501. Megan wants the contract changed and 1501 does not, and so she can’t release new music until they figure shit out. Did someone say #FREETHEESTALLION? Yeah, she did.

Megan hopped on Instagram to call out 1501 for being shady. I know, record executives signing artists to a shit contract to make more money. Well, I NEVER! Megan says that once she signed with Roc Nation and got Jay-Z-billionaire-type management, they told her, “Girl, your contract is a mess.” So she went back to the people at 1501 who signed her as a 20-year-old college student and wanted to renegotiate. This is when things, as she said, “Went left.”

“When I signed I didn’t really know what was in my contract. I was young, I think I was like 20. And I didn’t know everything that was in that contract. So when I got with Roc Nation I got management–real management, I got real lawyers, and they was like: “Do you know that this is in your contract.” I was like oh damn thats crazy, no I didn’t know. So I’m not mad at 1501, I wasn’t upset cuz I’m thinking in my head: “Oh well everybody cool, we all family it’s cool, its nice-lemme just ask them niggas to renegotiate my contract”. Soon as I said “I wanna renegotiate my contract,” everything went left. Like, it just all went bad it all went left. So now they tellin’ a bitch that she can’t drop no music… It’s really just like a greedy game, like its really just real greedy. Wasn’t trying to leave the label, wasn’t trying to not give people money they feel like they entitled to–I just wanna renegotiate some shit. I’m not a greedy person, I’m not a person that likes confrontation. I’m not a person that’s a bitch… But niggas–gon be niggas! …Niggas be like: “Oh they made Megan Thee Stallion.” Megan Thee Stallion was Megan Thee Stallion before I even got over there.”

Megan asked the internet for help:

One of 1501’s founders, ex-MLB player Carl Crawford, was just talking with TMZSports about how he “discovered” Megan, so methinks she’s talking about folks like him:

Carl also seemed to shade Megan on Instagram with this:

Taylor, you need to get that squad back together and get Megan out of her contract! You hate male record executives taking advantage of female talent. So this is your moment! Call up AOC and interrupt Elizabeth Warren right before Super Tuesday, and get them down to the station to twerk Megan out of her contract! Or just let your Swifties send death threats like last time.
