Drake Got Shit For A Michael Jackson Lyric In His New Song

HotNewHipHop says that Drake is getting heat for a new song of his which features a Michael Jackson reference. You’d think people would avoid such a thing considering the way a reference of Michael has shifted from positive to quite negative over the years. Well he’s taking those child abuse allegations and turning them into Top 40 rap music, honey! Which is a good look for him considering how often Drake himself texts with teenage girls.

Drake released two new songs, Chicago Freestyle and When To Say When. In When To Say When, Drake raps this line:

“Michael Jackson shit, but the palace is not for kids / Still women sayin’ it’s childish the way we live.”

Of course, it brought out reactions since this is the internet. The ones who think Michael’s guilty were grossed out and confused by the comparison to Michael’s Neverland Ranch which is a scene of alleged horrors. And the ones who think Michael’s innocent don’t appreciate Drake continuing the pedo narrative.

On Twitter, some people think it’s audacious of Drake to mention Michael Jackson hanging out with kids as he’s texting teenage girls and trying to date 18-year-olds.While others took no offense and think that Drake was just namedropping Neverland and not dissing MJ.

This isn’t the first time that Drake has used Michael Jackson for a song. Drake used old Michael Jackson vocals for his 2018 song Don’t Matter To Me.

Whether or not he was dissing MJ or not, Drake got what he wanted, which is attention for his song. And he should expect his young little friends Millie Bobby Brown and Billie Eilish to text him with: Wait, who’s Michael Jackson?
