Snoop Dogg Says The “Lovers & Friends” Festival Is Totally Legit

Vulture says there’s a new music festival on the horizon and it’s a hip-hop and R&B festival and it might be a dud. The full line-up of the Lovers & Friends music festival was announced, and some performers have confirmed that they’re performing, while others are wondering why the fuck everyone keeps asking them about it. But fear not! Snoop Dogg is here to tell you it’s legit! So don’t worry! It’s not like Fyre Festival had any big names supporting it, right?

Lovers & Friends is going down in Los Angeles on May 9, and the pre-sale for tickets is tomorrow. But those planning to buy tickets to see TwistaMase, Lil Kim, Eve or Trina may want to think twice, because they all denied they were performing. Lil Kim wrote on Instagram:

“This is SO FAKE! I am not a part of this!”

Is something fishy going on here? I mean Ja Rule is involved with this show too. He’s a performer. Maybe we should be suspicious? But Snoop Dogg, who is a promoter for the festival, claims everything is fine and he’s trying to reach out to Lil Kim about the confusion. No word on if he reached out to anyone else, but Twista then changed his tune and said he will be performing. 112, Tweet, Ginuwine and Usher all promoted the show as well on their socials–seemingly confirming their participation:

Well, at the very least, Snoop Dogg should be able to provide much better catering options than Fyre Festival. I mean, his bestie is Martha Stewart. Can’t wait to see angry pictures on social media of Lovers & Friends attendees dining on delicious sandwiches like:

“Lil Kim is not here and I’m furious because I came only for her… but DAMN Martha’s smoked brie on brioche with fig compote is POPPING!”
