Doug Hutchison Writes In His Memoir That Courtney Stodden Faked A Pregnancy
Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison’s divorce was finalized this year, but because of two things called “unpaid bills” and a “washed up acting career,” Doug has spilled all the details of their marriage in a new memoir. One of the details he’s using to sell his book is that Courtney allegedly faked her pregnancy and miscarriage for attention and money. Doug says Courtney came up with this horrific lie and he just went along with it. The only ones surprised by this shameful deceit were Doug and Courtney, who thought they’d make more money off of it than they did.
Doug married Courtney in 2011 when she was just 16 years old and he was 50 (she is now 25 and he is 59). Five years later in 2016, Courtney announced she was pregnant. Just a couple of months later, Courtney said she had miscarried. Doug’s memoir, appropriately titled “Flushing Hollywood: Fake News, Fake Boobs” will be released on March 10th of this year. I’m sure you’ve already pre-ordered your copy! In it, he says that he “couldn’t get a job to save my life in Hollywood anymore” and he spent all of his acting money and was a broke ass bitch. So he did what a shameless fame whore does, came up with a lie that would make him money. He explains to Fox News (via TooFab):
“I’m not proud to admit this, but again, this book is about the truth… I don’t justify it in my book. I’m actually ashamed that we did it. I think that in some ways it was immoral. It was very unfair to those people out there who sincerely suffered from miscarriages. But at that point in time, we were completely broke.”
Doug goes on to say that Courtney came up with the pregnancy lie, and they realized they’d have to fake a miscarriage too. And then the creep who married a child said something that’ll make everyone throw a “Sure, Jan” at him. He claims he was hurt by the lie.
“So Courtney came up with a strategy. I’m not trying to blame her, but it was her idea… She wanted to convince the public that she was pregnant so we can get paid for interviews and possibly a reality show.”
“It was all about survival. It was all about a way to make rent, to pay the bills. It was desperation. I was an accomplice. I felt at the time there was no other choice in order to survive… We didn’t think about the consequences, the future.”
“But if you’re not pregnant, then what? Then came the faux miscarriage. And that part to me hurt the most.”
Doug claims he felt guilty about lying to everyone including their family. So that’s why he’s decided to tell the truth in his book, and not because of $$$$$.
“So enough. It’s time to reveal the truth, as difficult as it is. I’m not proud to admit this chapter at all. But all I can say is desperation is the mother of invention. And the invention was unfortunate… We maintained an illusion that we were living large. But it was far from the truth.”
Since that miscarriage scheme backfired and they didn’t make all the money they thought they would, Courtney and Doug broke up and filed for divorce a year later.
Courtney may have responded to Doug’s claims, and seems to admit it, but also accuses him of abuse. At least that’s what I’m getting from this:
Well, at least they didn’t bring another human into that mess of a marriage. Unfortunately, their dog child named Dourtney couldn’t be reached for comment. Last I heard, Dourtney was in a bad way, and he hasn’t made any recent appearances on Courtney’s IG. Maybe he faked his death to get away from those two. At least that’s what I’d like to think.
