Open Post: Hosted By Diane Keaton And Keanu Reeves’ Reunion At The Oscars

Those who wished that Diane Keaton’s Something’s Gotta Give character would’ve gotten a clue and picked the hot doctor instead of 2003 Jack Nicholson got their wish at the Oscars last night when Diane and that hot doctor, Keanu Reeves, reunited to give an award together. There was so much nervous energy between them that my brain bounced between two thoughts: “The open bar backstage must be next level!” and “Those rumors about them fucking back in the day are totally true.”

While looking like The Babadook’s kooky auntie, Diane sashayed onto the Oscars stage with Keanu Reeves on her arm to present the award for Best Original Screenplay (which went to Bong Joon-ho for Parasite). They did a little bit where they mentioned doing Something’s Gotta Give together and acted like they too think they should’ve ended up together (even the movie’s writer and director Nancy Meyers thought, “Whoa. Maybe they did end up together,” in an Instagram post).

After Diane internally rolled her eyes at her character ending up with Jack, she nearly fucked up by opening the winner’s envelope too early, and when it came time to open the envelope, she almost dropped it. Get into the nervousness of it all:

That “Hello, Diane” and “Hello there, Keanu” at the beginning is totally how you greet a trick you run into in public after hate-fucking them years before. I know that Diane is an ACK-TOR and is playing it up, but still, I see that nervousness as sexual tension, and if I was Keanu’s girlfriend Alexandra Grant, I would tackle that trick. You (allegedly) had a piece of Keanu already, Diane!

Alexandra Grant wasn’t Keanu’s date last night, but another white-haired woman was. Mieka included Keanu in her Oscars gallery, but here’s more of him with his glamorous mom Patricia Taylor, who looks like a John Wick villain I’d totally root for.
