Genea Sky, the stripper artiste who fell from the sky and kept on twerking!
Usually, the day after the Oscars, my HSOTD is someone or something from the ceremony. But I’m skipping that tradition to pay tribute to a death-defying performance that deserves an Oscar and whatever the Oscar equivalent given to stunt performers is. At XTC Cabaret in Dallas, TX, the men were probably heard screaming, “The sky is falling! No, seriously, Genea Sky the stripper is falling!” when Genea had a terrifying 15-foot fall from a two-story stripper pole. And when she hit the stage, and not in a good way, she picked herself up and kept on twerkin’. I know that the twerkin’ show must go on, but does it really need to go on when you could be suffering from internal bleeding and broken insides?!
The Tandi Iman Dupree gone wrong moment was caught on a cell phone’s camera and has gone viral. It is fucking brutal, and will also make you wonder if the dancer next to her is on the wrong kind of sedatives or is a Westworld stripper bot. Because she didn’t flinch over the fact that a fallen stripper might be in a bad way, and also that the fallen stripper could’ve landed on her and flattened her into a puddle of body glitter, Bronzer, and sadness:

Even though Genea twerked away, she wasn’t okay and twerked her way to the ER. Genea posted an Instagram video where she tearfully told us that she’s suffered a broken jaw, busted teeth, and a sprained ankle. She’s going to have to get surgery on her jaw. Genea is obviously going through it, but says she’s happy to be alive. Genea’s friend also set up a GoFundMe to help pay for her medical expenses.
What she should do is twerk on over to a lawyer’s office and get XTC to make it rain on her almost broken ass. Then she can use that money to buy the place and rename it Falling Sky Cabaret.
