Pamela Anderson Married Jon Peters After Hanging Out With Him For Three Days
This woman’s heart is just “too open”. That’s what sources close to 52-year-old Pamela Anderson are saying, at least. It’s why her marriage to 74-year-old movie producer Jon Peters lasted fifteen seconds (actual time: twelve days). The story is that Pamela was just getting off a month-long “spiritual cleanse” in India and her heart (yes, her HEART) was just so open from it that she went and got married to the first dude who asked. Yes, because when your soul gets cleansed, you want to immediately dirty it up again with marriage.
Pamela and Jon, who have known each other for 30 years and dated in the 1980s, got secret married in Malibu on January 20. Twelve days later, they announced that they had split up. Luckily for them, they didn’t file the legal paperwork for their marriage certificate yet. A source tells Page Six that when she got back from the spiritual cleanse, she and Jon spent three days together. He popped the question and she went with it. But she immediately regretted it. The source says her “heart was open, but, in hindsight, too open.”
The source said, “Pamela does not operate on the same wavelength as other people. She has a huge heart and she loves big, fast and hard.”
They added, “She came back from her trip and Jon said to her, “I love you, let’s get married.” So she said, “OK.””
Apparently after a day and a half together as husband and wife, Pamela realized she’d “made a terrible mistake.” Jon was apparently overbearing, and focused on fame, and Pamela is now spotlight-shy and prefers to spend more time focused on her charity work, political action, animal advocacy, and defending her real boo Julian Assange. The source explains to Page Six that Jon was “trying to be too controlling over her,” and even started making calls on behalf of her career:
“Pamela felt that he was frustrated over how she wanted to maintain her financial independence… He started to make calls about her career and cast her in a movie he was working on, things she didn’t want.”
To think, if they stayed together, we would’ve gotten Barb Wire 2!
Since Jon and Pamela never filed any marriage papers, they were able to easily break things off. Jon did not return to Page Six with a comment.
Listen, so what if Pam decided to get hitched after a month-long spiritual cleanse? She got off easy. If you go on a month-long Goop cruise, you’ll end up needing vaginal reconstruction.
