Mo’Nique has been speaking out against Oprah for a while now. Mo’Nique has accused Oprah of behind-the-scenes shadiness and helping Lee Daniels blackball her from Hollywood. And she’s talked a lot about how Oprah screwed her over financially and also personally. Well, Mo’Nique is going after Oprah again, this time over her Russell Simmons documentary, by writing a long-winded open letter.
Mo’Nique has come for Oprah over her alleged actions before. Mo’Nique has accused Oprah of helping Lee Daniels to blackball her for not doing unpaid press for Precious. And she’s even accused Oprah of maliciously having her estranged parents on the show to make Mo’Nique look bad. Meanwhile, Oprah has kept her hands mostly clean of this “feud.” Well, even though Oprah doesn’t really respond, Mo’Nique has joined50 Cent in dragging Oprah for putting her name on a Russell Simmons documentary (before taking her name off of it).
Mo’Nique went for round 4,598,999 in her feud with Oprah by comparing Oprah’s thoughts on the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault allegations to Oprah’s treatment of the Michael Jackson and Russell Simmons cases. (Oprah interviewed Michael Jackson’s accusers.) After Mo’Nique accused Oprah of racial bias, she then pivoted to Oprah’s treatment of her, and said that Oprah has made her life in Hollywood harder.

Mo’Nique is bold and brave for going after THEE Oprah repeatedly. Because Oprah may hit back with more blacklisting, and the only job Mo’Nique will be able to book is a Tyler Perry Production. And having to wear one of his demonic wigs onscreen is a punishment all on its own.
