This Is Prince William And Duchess Kate’s Reaction To Brad Pitt’s Prince Hot Ginge Joke
As Mieka posted about earlier, the BAFTAs happened in London last night, and they solidified that this weekend’s Oscars are most likely going to be a more predictable bore fest than usual, because the same actors have been winning the acting categories all season long. That includes Brad Pitt who won the Supporting Actor BAFTA for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Brad wasn’t there, but his OUATIH co-star Margot Robbie, accepted the award for him, and read from a speech he gave her and it included a joke about Prince Hot Ginge. And when the camera cut to Prince William and Duchess Kate in the audience, they won a BARFTA (that’s the Razzie equivalent of a BAFTA) for Worst Performance By Royals Who Want You To Think That Brad Pitt’s Joke Was Funny To Them.
Brad couldn’t be in London for the BAFTAs because of family obligations. I’m taking that to mean that he had a previously scheduled visit with his kids, and he knew that if he missed it, Angelina Jolie would report him to the courts for neglect and demand all of his custody rights be taken away immediately. Either that or Brad was busy with getting in some last-minute Oscar campaigning by inviting his good friend Jennifer Aniston to lunch at a restaurant that just so happens to be near a fertility clinic, so he be papped gently putting his hand on her “bump” right after she tells him she’s so bloated from that plate of churros they shared for dessert.
Scarlett Johansson announced Brad Pitt as the Supporting Actor winner, and Margot accepted for him, and read his speech, which included a Brexit joke (“Hey, Britain! Heard you just became single, welcome to the club!“) and a joke about PHG where he said that he’s going to name his award “Harry” since he’s really excited about bringing it to the States.
The camera, of course, cut to Kate and William who were probably relieved since it wasn’t a joke about Prince Andrew, which leads me to Rebel Wilson.
Rebel Wilson presented the Best Director Award and made a joke about Andrew:
“Good evening distinguished guests and those who don’t identify as that. It is really great to be here at the Royal Andrew… Royal Harry… Royal Phillip… this royal palace place.”
And, of course, the producers and camera people did their job by cutting to Kate and William:

William laughed a bit, and probably because he’s a royal robo-bot who is programmed to giggle when everybody else does. But Kate was not amused:
Kate definitely made a mental note that when her husband finally becomes THE KING, she will get him to take control of Australia (because yes, it’s that easy) and then order Rebel Wilson to be her personal court jester, just so she can send Rebel to the guillotine when Rebel tells jokes like that one.
