There’s Audio Of Amber Heard Admitting She Hit Ex-Husband Johnny Depp

If you’re wondering why #JusticeForJohnnyDepp and #AmberHeardIsAnAbuser is trending on Twitter and didn’t want to click the links, this mess is why.

One of the uglier divorce battles of the 21st century has been the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard split, chock-full of accusations of physical and emotional abuse and general domestic terrorism on both sides. Johnny  Depp is currently suing his ex-wife for defamation to the tune of $50 million for an op-ed she wrote about surviving his alleged domestic abuse that he claims got him fired from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. (Did we really need Pirates of the Caribbean 18, Johnny? Nevermind.) An audio recording was “leaked” to The Daily Mail (via Cinemablend) and it’s from a 2015 couples therapy session in which Amber purportedly confesses to physically abusing Johnny.

Here’s the statement Johnny Depp’s lawyer gave about the audio, which was of a two-hour session that Amber recorded on her phone. The recording and photographic evidence of abuse from both sides were provided to the court as part of the ongoing defamation case which won’t make it to a courtroom until this August.

Amber Heard recorded multiple conversations between her and Johnny Depp. These tapes containing Amber Heard’s chilling confessions of violence further expose and destroy her abuse hoax.

In the tape, Amber admits she hit Johnny (but didn’t punch him, in her words) and threw pots and pans at him. In response, he admits he pushed her. It’s a toxic disaster all around.

‘I’m sorry that I didn’t, uh, uh, hit you across the face in a proper slap, but I was hitting you, it was not punching you. Babe, you’re not punched,’ Heard tells Depp, attempting to downplay her outburst the previous evening.

‘I don’t know what the motion of my actual hand was, but you’re fine, I did not hurt you, I did not punch you, I was hitting you.’

She warns the 56-year-old Oscar nominee: ‘You poke an animal enough, it is eventually, it doesn’t matter how friendly it is, it’s not cool.’

Here’s a transcript of one of their exchanges on the tape in which they try to find some common ground despite them both sounding batshit crazy and like they needed to live on different continents if not in different galaxies.

Johnny Depp: If things get physical, we have to separate. We have to be apart from one another. Whether it’s for fucking an hour or 10 hours or fucking a day. We must, there can be no physical violence towards each other.

Amber Heard: I agree about the physical violence, but separating for a day, taking a night off from our marriage?

Johnny Depp: All I’m saying is we need to take whatever time we need you. You need, I need, to kind of let things settle for a minute. So that we don’t fucking kill each other or fucking worse, you know, fucking really kill each other or fucking break up or whatever.

Johnny Depp: If the fight escalates to the point of where it’s just insulting for both of us, uh, or if it gets to that physical fucking st, the violence, that’s when we just said, look, let’s go to our corners, man, you hang wherever you want, baby. I’m going in the office and I’m just gonna fucking sit there and try and de-jellify my fucking brain.

Amber Heard: I can’t promise that it will all be perfect. I can’t promise you I won’t get physical again. God I fucking sometimes I get so mad I lose it. I can fucking promise you I will do everything to change. I promise you. I’m not going to throw around divorce I not say divorce unless I really mean it.

Johnny Depp: I love you and I want you to be my wife. And I want to be your husband. And I wanna be a good husband. If I haven’t been, I’ll do everything I can to find out how to be a good husband.

Here’s the recording:

And the hour-long recording is here:

In response to the tape being made public, Amber’s spokesperson accused Johnny of putting the recording out there and twisting Amber’s words around to make it seem like she deserved to be abused.

Anyone familiar with the dynamics of domestic abuse would immediately recognize what is really going on here. Throughout the extended tape recording that Johnny Depp vindictively turned over to the press, Ms Heard repeatedly attempts to placate Mr Depp, ignore his accusations, and force him to acknowledge what was really happening in their relationship. For Mr Depp, who lived and lives in an echo chamber of his own making, to try to twist this private conversation to suggest either that he didn’t abuse Ms Heard or that she somehow ‘deserved it’ is nothing more than the latest misogynistic effort at victim-blaming.

So, Johnny’s fans started the #JusticeForJohnnyDepp, and that’s how that came to be.

This could be a #TeamFuckingNoOne situation.  What a damn toxic mess, and honestly, right now the only hashtag I want to use is #TeamBooAndPistol!
