Nicky Hilton Is Fighting Climate Change By Wearing Vintage Designer Clothes And Taking The Subway
And with that, TIME Magazine has announced that they are taking back the Person of the Year honor from Greta Thunberg and giving it to Nicky Hilton Rothschild, a real eco-warrior!
Joaquin Phoenix is wearing the same Stella McCartney tuxedo all through awards season for the sake of fighting climate change. And now Nicky Hilton says she’s doing her part by wearing vintage Chanel. Captain Planet can retire now. The planet is saved!
At the Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Awards, which was held at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC, Nicki told Page Six that she is supporting Maison de Mode, a sustainable fashion brand. Nicki then said that she’s doing her part by wearing clothes from her closet and taking the subway:
“I am here in support of Maison de Mode … So I pulled out an old Alice + Olivia skirt and wore a vintage Chanel bag, and I took the subway here… I took the 6. I feel like I am doing my part.”
Nicki probably said that while surrounded by fellow richies, so I’m sure they nearly fainted at the thought, and immediately called up their children to apologize in advance for leaving them a crumbling planet, because there’s no way they’re going to wear used clothes and catch peasant cooties by riding on the subway. The struggle is REAL when the rich have to take the subway.
When the internet collectively eye-rolled at Nicki (including the recipient of a billion eye rolls, Piers Morgan), Nicki continued to say that she’s doing her part:
Well said Nicky — @piersmorgan wearing vintage is in fact one the best ways to be sustianable when it comes to fashion and it doesn't matter what the label is 💚🌎♻️

Your move, Leonardo DiCaprio! Watch Leo show up to the Oscars with one of his ex-girlfriends and call it recycling. Yes, his exes are considered geriatric to him now (aka above the age of 25), but he’s willing to suffer greatly for Mother Earth.
