Miley Cyrus Thinks Toking Up Got Her Banned From The Grammys

If you watched the Grammys on Sunday night, you probably saw Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, Diplo, BTS and honestly just about every nominee join in on an “Old Town Road” performance. There were so many people up there, hell, I even think I saw my first grade music teacher with her kazoo join in. Alas, one person who was NOT on stage, in the building, or even in a ten-block radius was Miley Cyrus. And she took to social media to congratulate her old man on surprising us all with a comeback that wasn’t just a re-release of “Achy Breaky Heart” AND to give a theory on why she wasn’t allowed at the Grammys.

Miley first congratulated her dad and her “brother” Lil Nas X on their performance and for winning two Grammys. As a fellow Tennessean, I assume Miley is waiting for later to give the country-rap duo the proper Volunteer State congratulatory gift of a Waffle House breakfast followed by a show at Dolly’s Stampede at Dollywood. Naturally, though, Miley had to pull a “She’s just being Miley!” by making it about her and responding to everyone wondering (no one was wondering) why she wasn’t at the Grammys.

The clip shows the country critter accepting her 2013 MTV EMA for “Wrecking Ball” by lighting a joint and smoking it on stage. Oooo so bad, Miley! Now, considering half the wrecks we saw at the Grammys on Sunday night (and there were many to choose from!), I think Miley might be hyping things up just a smidge. Sure, she smoked the good kush, but it was Europe! And honestly, if she did that at the Grammys here, nobody would give a shit, because they’d be too busy being wowed by Billy Porter’s hat.
