Billy Porter’s Grammys look!
Billy Porter was a two–time HSOTM in 2019 thanks to him causing hos to prolapse onto the carpet from being hit by the sight of his devastating ensembles. Billy Porter may break his HSOTM record this year, because it’s only January, and he’s already outdone himself. Billy showed up to the Grammys last night looking like Auntie Nas X. And now I really want to see Billy Porter and Lil Nas X in a gay space cowboy reboot of Thelma and Louise.
Looking like a lamp in the pool house of Liberace’s Palm Springs home is always a good thing, but Billy Porter brought the look into the NOW with a highly technologically advanced feature. Harper’s Bazaar says that Billy worked with designer Scott Studenberg and milliner Sarah Sokol to create his “Barbarella going to the funeral of one of her rivals” look, and they really made the engineers at NASA seethe with jealousy over the rhinestone hat curtain that opened with the touch of a button. This is pretty much what the confessional booth looks like at The Church of Elton John.

It didn’t seem like Billy wore that hat inside. At least, he wasn’t wearing it when he presented. But if I was him, I would’ve worn it inside, because it would’ve come in handy when I needed to protect my eyes from Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s performance.
