Open Post: Hosted By Vanessa Hudgens In Feathers At The “Bad Boys For Life” Premiere

Vanessa Hudgens showed up to the Hollywood premiere of Bad Boys for Life yesterday, which also happened to be the same day it was reported that she had split from her boyfriend of nine years, Austin Butler. And I’m really glad Vanessa had an event on the books, because it looks like she was just dying to get out there and let it be known she’s living for Vanessa these days. At least that’s what I’m taking from her choice to strut onto the red carpet in a subtle look of white feathers, rhinestones, and a thigh-high leg slit.

Vanessa is in Bad Boys for Life, but I don’t know if she had to go so hard on the red carpet. Vanessa was dressed like she was starring in a remake of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in which she plays both Lorelei and Dorothy, and bails on her own wedding so she can stay home and count her diamonds in her best dressing gown. As you can see by this video posted by Vanessa’s hair stylist from yesterday, she was clearly feeling herself:

There is a chance Vanessa went over-the-top with her look as an act of revenge on Austin. If tabloids have taught me anything about celebrity breakups, it’s that someone will inevitably try to get revenge by looking good. And Vanessa looks good. This is a timeless look, and a timeless look is one that tells everyone you’re a former pro figure skater-turned-Powerball winner who invests her millions into breeding award-winning Maltese puppies and exclusively dates property developers in their 70s. Vanessa buys her own jewelry, but you’re paying for the private jet to Las Vegas.
